okay, I can't figure this out. Wither I use the normal crack for version 1.0, or update it to 1.01 and use this crack, the game every single time crashes right after showing the stupid EA intro. I can't even get to the damn main menu. Is this issue unique to Vista 64-bit or something?

After hours of frustrating with getting this to work I finally discovered the answer after a lot of googling. If you have the same issue I did, read below:

go to: C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\My Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config
and open TdEngine.ini in notepad
search for (ctrl-f)
type: MaxMultisamples=2
find that entry
now change the 2 to a 1
save the file..
run the game

I nstalled patch:

It didn't help anything. In the beggining of chapter 3 Faith is in slow motion. When I'm trying to install this patch it says: "The patch could'n be installed because the newer patch is already installed". Have disabled PhysX in Nvidia Control Panel. No changes.

This worked for me. I set to compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2.
Here is how you do it in case you weren't sure.
1. Browse to the Binaries folder in Mirror's Edge installation directory, it is (C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\Binaries)
2. Right click MirrorsEdge.exe, and click on Properties.
3. Click the Compatibility tab at the top.
4. Tick on 'Run this program in compatibility for' and choose Windows 2000 (Vista/7 users can also try Windows XP SP2)

@ Sagara : Prratebay shifted to using Magnet links awhile back, there are no longer torrent files. If you click the magnet links provided here, you'll be asked to open them directly in your torrent downloader (i.e Bitcomet/μtorrent etc).

It's theoretically safer for TPB to use magnet links, but it's annoying as all hell for me and my roommates. I use a virtual machine to keep the torrent client somewhat separate and secure from the rest of the computers on our network and make use of the automatic torrent loading feature to compensate. Going to magnet links for anything over 10 seeds means that my roommates have to convert magnet links to torrent files via http://magnet2torrent.me/ if they want to download anything and I either need to do the same or have a web-browser open in the BT VM.
It doesn't help that the current version of BitTorrent (and I suspect uTorrent as well) has issues with auto-loading magnet links as well resulting in it trying to save, and keep, them on the "hard drive" of my VM instead of moving everything to the right drives/folders as it does with torrent files or if the "I just loaded a magnet link. Is this where you want it to go?" window isn't disabled. :-/

For those having lag when the glass breaks, go to your video settings and disable Physx. That will fix the problem!
