I recently purchased the windows compatible version from one of the sites that have been updating these old abandoned DOS games (abandonia or GOG.com). To my disappointment the windows compatible version does not work properly. The engineers do not make roads for some of the races which is a big minus for me. Plus the AI is far more difficult on the windows compatible version which is a big minus if you can't make roads, major disadvantage. Occasionally it would just freeze or stop working and just exit to windows, usually when entering the battle screen. The only plus was there were more random events in the updated windows compatible versions. To me there are too many major issues for them to charge for the software. I've played good old MoM since the days it was released, gaming has come a long way since then but sadly games of this caliber are in short supply. Why, why, oh why was there never a sequel to this masterpiece of strategy turn-based RPG??? Seriously this has to be the best game of its kind. I still have the original 3.5 diskettes, unfortunately, the last disk has gone bad over the years of usage thus my searching for a working copy again.
Hint: (High Men) Paladins are the key to annihilate thine enemies (and heroes of course). But this info is just if you want to make It easy.

Hello, and so many thanks for help keeping this great game alive. I'm trying to run this on Vista, and of course I get an incompatibility error when executing the install. Any suggestions to make this happen? Thanks.
