I personally don't care about the final size of the whole vid as long as the quality is great, but if it bothers you for some reason (hdd space) you can re encode it yourself or (downloading time) have a bit more of patience :)
The rip is not mine. I downloaded it from a site. I never re encode anything. I always release files in their original formats.

I like quality too. And good screen sizes. Tired of 640 x 480 or lower. Time for the guys that rip to start going a bit bigger now. What is the point of having a 24 inch monitor? lol

if the source is standard definition there's no point in going above 640 x 480 with the rip cos you can't add information where there isn't in the first place :) I still have a 17 inch crt monitor. A friend of mine owns a 26 and as a result he can't watch sd videos anymore...
