Total Annihilation with UTASP unit pack (full working game) ***UPDATED***

Right then, Sorry bout the last torrent - my hard drive died before i could fully seed to anyone. I will be seeding this one regularly, and has been updated since last. My apologies to people who downloaded my last torrent. Good luck and remember to seed folks! Total Annihilation is an RTS by Chris Taylor (correct me if the spellings wrong ^^) who recently released the very successful 'Supreme Commander'. TA was the forerunner to SupCom, and in my opinion one of the best RTS's ever. Anyway, its an ace game so give it a try, its still fun to play despite being forgotten :) Any questions just drop a comment, ill be happy to answer. By the way, ive just nuked my pc with Adaware, Spybot, Sophos and AVG security programs, and all came up clean :D Its in .rar format, use winrar to extract to C:/ Enjoy! I have done several things after installing TA 1.0. They are listed here, in order: - Installed core contingency expansion - Installed 3.1 patch - Recompiled the above to improve load times - Installed extra cavedog units (FARK, Flea, etc) - Installed increased unit cap patch (1500+?) - Installed noCD patch - Installed TA Mutation to enhance gameplay - Installed UTASP unit pack. hey this is my first download and i did everythin i think i downloaded it then unpacked it but when i try to open it it just goes to a black screen i can here the music and i can here when i click buttons but the screen wont display the game. Do you know whats wrong?

@ StarcraftMonster: Yes, all those things are included, But you can also just run original TA if u wish.
@ goldice: Hmm... im not sure what to make of your problem. Try installing the latest DirectX install it, and try to run TA. If this doesnt work, uninstall DirectX and install DirectX 5 A list of your computer hardware would be helpful :) good luck!

goldice, to find a list of your hardware, go to start, then click run, and type "msinfo32" into the box and press enter. Copy all in the right hand box and paste as a comment here. Also the name of your graphics card would be handy.

on the TA Mutation it says if your having troubles with the maps go and rename them in the maps folder but i go there and the folder is empty any help would be great

hey torrent worked great, but when i play skirmish mode the opponents do not build... its like they are turned off/? any thoughts?

Just a note of advice, when playing the campaigns from original TA, use Mutator to switch to original TA, or you can't play most of the campaign maps.

the AI's won't load, I tried to make direct X install on the setup, that does nothing. it says that the direct X may not be right and to use the CD one...
...so I guess that's the problem, if this problem could be resolved I'd be grateful, thanks in advance, Kbot2.

@manofthisland: the ai's are temperamental, just restart the game a coupla times and they should wake up. if not, try changing the difficulty setting.

@kbot2: i just used the directx from the cd, and worked fine for me. and when u say the ai's dont load, is it like manofthisland's problem?

kbot2, i think ive found where uve gone wrong - dont run "setup". just extract to your desired location, and run "TA Mutation". at first, select standard ai, from ai tab, original ta from total conversion tab, and click launch TA. only fiddle round with what directx version u need if the game doesnt run properly - and btw, the warning on startup "your directx version may not work properly blah blah blah..." should be ignored, as it doesnt matter. Hope this helps! :D

i downloaded the file fine and i used winzip to extract the contents. i read your "READ ME BEFORE RUN!!!" and i dont understand what i am suppose to install first. All i want to do is be able to run all the extras not included in the original TA game like core contingency maps and all the other units and features. When i run the mutated TA everything works fine except the extra maps. The extra maps are listed but when try to play but when i click start game it kicks me out of the game and a error message says "Maps\map name.TNT" It says this for all of the extra maps. the original maps work fine in mutated mode. please help

Ok i found the problem, either CCMaps.ccx didnt pack properly, or i accidentally left it out :S
If you want to use the Core Contingency maps, download the file in this torrent http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4972861 and place in the CAVEDOG/TOTALA/ folder, and the maps will work :D sorry for the inconvenience guys!

@Mirddes, you appear to be in luck! I dug deep in my hard-drive and found the Utasp Zip; I am trying to upload a torrent but TPB has a problem with the CAPTCHAs (Bloody stupid pictures u have to copy the text from) so i cant upload :'(

Bit of a necro, but i revisited my old install, and realised that when using the UTASP total conversion in the TA:Mutation launcher, the mutators would not work. I looked into it, and thankfully the fix is very simple:
Run TA Mutation.exe, and choose "Original TA" as the total conversion. Close TA Mutation.
Go to TOTALA > TA-Mutation > TCs, which will be wherever you installed the game. Inside should be ][UTASP5.tc.
Open this with notepad and edit the line
UTASP(3).ufo Rev31.3gp
to
UTASP(3).ufo Rev31.ufo
And thats it! start TA:Mutation and select UTASP total conversion, and apply any mutators you like. Hope this helps! :D

Hi! Downloaded the game just now and it all works fine apart from one (highly irritating!) problem... After a few minutes of gameplay the screen messes up, the colour/resolution changes and it's impossible to see what's going on. If I escape to windows and then return to the game the problem disappears for a few minutes... before returning again a couple of minutes later.
Any ideas as to what's going on? Thanks
