Durante le prove generali dell'Annibale, il Fantasma terrorizza il soprano Carlotta Giudicelli facendo sì che la giovane ballerina Christine Daaè ne prenda il posto con straordinario successo. Christine ha un misterioso insegnante di canto: ella pensa sia l'Angelo della Musica inviatole dal padre scomparso, ma Erik -questo il nome del Fantasma, un geniale musicista mascherato- vuol fare di lei la sua eterna e adorata musa. La vicenda narra la lotta per il suo cuore, diviso tra l'oscuro e inquietante fascino per il Fantasma e il quieto, tranquillizzante sentimento per Raoul, una sua antica fiamma. Webber ha scelto di far tradurre e doppiare l'intera pellicola (quindi anche le canzoni) in varie lingue, tra le quali anche l'italiano. ---------------------------------------------- The Phantom of the Opera is a film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 musical of the same name, taken from Gaston Leroux's novel, wanted by Webber himself. 1870. During the rehearsal for the opera Hannibal, the Phantom scares the soprano Carlotta Giudicelli obtaining the young dancer Christine Daaè takes her place with an extraordinary success. Christine has a misterious singing teacher: she believes he's the Angel of Music, sent her from the died father, but Erik -this is the name of the Phantom, a masked musical genius- want to make her his eternal loving muse. The story describes the fight for her heart, divided by the dark, obscure glamour for the Phantom and the calm, comforting feeling for Raoul, a former sweetheart. A.L.
