Description as described in an interview on ign: In Operation: Anchorage the player will find themselves able to re-live the famous liberation of Anchorage from Fallout lore -- inside a simulation similar to one found along the main quest of Fallout 3. Once the player finds their way into the simulation, they'll be stripped of their resources and have to survive within the rules set up by the simulation's creators. The Chinese red army is everywhere, and the player will first have to secure the surrounding mountain side and then fight their way into the Chinese base. The player will have to use a lot of their standard combat skills, along with several new tools that will only be available in the downloadable content. These include interactive Strike Teams under the player's command and unique armor, weapons, and other exotic gadgets. Install: (This is the same as any other mod) 1. Extract the archieve and place the Anchorage.esm, the Anchorage - Main.bsa and the Anchorage - Sound.bsa into the data directory of Fallout 3 2. Okay, either I'm retarded, or this doesn't work. I have a pirated copy of the game, and I did everything exactly as the readme and what-not says. But the DLC does not effect the game at all. I've updated to the newest version, but still nothing happens.
If it matters; I cannot open the game from the launcher, but I can activate mods from it. If I try to open the game from the launcher, it says that the game is not installed (Which it is...) and that setup.exe cannot be found.

launcher doesnt work, put the esm file and bsa files in the data file found under beth/fallout3/data files....used the mod manager to bypass the launcher and still not working...the update patch for v1.1.0.35 is what stopped the falloutlauncher from working

Extract all files to your Fallout 3/Data folder. Goto Fallout 3 launcher Click Data Files. Check mark Anchorage.esm Start game. Wait for distress signal. If your launcher does work, Then you have fucked version of the game. Get the Skullptura Rip, works great for me
Then get the Final Fix

Read all gizmolio's directions, and your fallout 3 launcher should work.

okay fixed my problem if you dont have the v1.1.0.35 patch you have to install it... for some versions of a pirated fo3 it might not allow you to run the fallout launcher...in that case you have to install the fallout 3 mod manager that was mentioned earlier in this thread...using the mod manger to start up the game should work

To everyone wondering about the unchecking, that is not a problem. Everytime you start up the Fallout Launcher all data files except the main Fallout file will uncheck themselves automatically. Whenever you have checked all the desired data files, simply start Fallout from it's normal icon from now on and all data files will be active. Everytime you start the game through the launcher again, just don't forget to check your data files.
Apart from that, still no way to get anchorage working here, wonder if anyone else got progress?

Well, I even have a weirder problem: I updated to 1.1.0.35 and the game launches and all. It also allowed me to check everything I wanted in data files. But.. all my saves are gone and the game will only let me start new game. I mean, the saves are actually in my documents, I can see them, but the game doesn't see them... Damn. I am NOT going to be starting anchorage at level 1... Any ideas how to force the game to see my saves?

thou i didn't get the offical quest start i went to Bayleys crossroads (or whatever it was) there werent alot of problems exept when i was done with supermutants and got to "outcast outpost"
there were strange thing everywhere like posters hovering without wall and big red "!" sights when i finaly got my self foward i came to this kinda room
im pretty sure that problem is somewhere with Anchorage - Main.bsa and Anchorage - Sounds.bsa cause i don't hear voices of new characters and some objects are missing (like walls and floors)
any help?

If the issue is the game not reading your saves it means Games for Windows LIVE is running which for some reason doesn't work with saves from BEFORE you started logging in.
If you want to start it at a decent level simply log out of games for windows LIVE.

Actually, I figured it out: moving the savegames directly to my games>fallout 3 solved the issue. Stupid, STUPID GFW and Microsoft breaking my game. You know what? I actually purchased the collector's edition of Fallout 3 after downloading the cracked version first, because I loved the game and because Bethesda deserves support. But I am NOT buying Operation Anchorage unless it comes out on Steam. Fuck Microsoft, fuck GFW and fuck their fake money that allows them to steal from me whenever I want to buy something. Put it on Steam where I can spend EXACTLY the amount it costs and I'll buy it. Otherwise, fuck off. Oh, and it seems to be working fine here. I didn't even have to replace the launcher.

I happen to have the exact same problem as ide94. I am using the Reloaded patched to the newest version. It would appear as though all new sounds and textures are MISSING! I have tried everything I can think of, down to Mod manager, checking for corruption of the files and plain old restarting the game.

I'm using the Reloaded version, with the most recent patch, and I have had no problems at all. I didn't even need to use the mod manager.
I just beat it, good expansion, could have been longer, it also should have introduced more then 2 new weapons and armor. I probably would of bought this if it wasn't for fucking windows live and Microsoft trying to get money for DLC, which has always been free for the PC.

Works flawlessly with the RZR 1.1035 NoCD from gamecopyworld (after patch of course). Install to your Fallout3\Data directory, check the anchorage file in the Data Files of your Launcher. FoMM is not needed.
Quest starts in the world. You should get a "Radio transmission that seems to be for your ears only" and a new quest marker that sends you to Bailey's Metro. If after wandering around, you don't get the quest, try visiting places like Fort Constantine or Bannister where the Outcast are trying to get some technology of their own.
GAME SHOULD BE PATCHED TO 1.1035 for this to work.
Hope this helped clear up some of the comments.

HELP I'm patched up, anchorage is installed correctly, box checked etc etc but the game crashes within 10 seconds of me loading a save game...I saw someone else had this problem but I didn't see a solution.

It works, make sure you have patched it with the right country i patched mine with english UK and it wouldnt work then patched it with english US and it then worked. If you dont have registry entrys to select the data file from the launcher just google "fallout 3 registry entry"

boshlonavish, Thats just the .torrent file. Look in your directory for where the actual files you downloaded are. They should be /Fallout3Anchorage.part01.rar to part 20. Open up Part one and extract those files to your Fallout 3/Data directory. Then either use mod mananger or the fallout 3 launcher/ data files/ check anchorage

To Ide94 and any others with the texture and sound not loading problem (and possibly not hearing the radio broadcast) make sure you've updated your actual .exe to 1.1, I had patched the game but was using an old cracked .exe, you'll be able to access the new game areas but the new content will not load. My Fallout 3 still works, I just don't get the radio message that allows me to start the quest at all :(
I am sure that the files are correctly placed, because I can open up the geck and create a new mod with all the new equipment, if I want to.

To everyone having problems running this mod.
1: Make sure you have put it in the correct directory i.e. :C\Games\Fallout 3\Data
2: Download FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) found at www.fallout3nesux.com
3: Make sure you are patched to the latest version 1.1.0.35
4: If running Vista or Windows 7 Beta, disable UAC or install Fallout 3 somewhere other than Program Files, as UAC doesn't like you messing with this folder, and can make Mods not run right.
5: Open FOMM and check the .esm and .esp's needed.
6: Launch the game.
7: BE PATIENT, as stated it can take a few minutes for the quest popup to appear.
As for the crashes, I have no idea. I use Skullpturas game with very little problems.

I've got a solution for the quest problem, those who wont get the signal and the quest that you're supposed to get in the beginning when you've installed this. Just go inside valut 101, and you will get the signal, listen to the message and the quest is yours :)

Lol i fixed the crashing problem.Installed the FinalFix that comes whit Skullptura's Fallout 3.Then i installed the latest patch of Fallout 3.Although i already had installed it but just wanted to reinstall the patch to be sure.And then the game worked whitout crashing every 5 minutes.But now im having another problem.I didnt get the radio signal even not after 1 hour of playing time.So i just walked to Bailey's Crossroads to start the quest manually.Once i got there i had texture problems :SMy graphics card Ati Sapphire 4850 is up to date.The game itself also is up to date :SMy whole pc system is up to date.

I have windows XP, on a Q6600@ 3.80 in a Bearlake board with a volt modded 8800gts, 4 Gig of Reaper.I have the RELOADED Version. I updated to 1.135....used the mod manager(Thanks Timeslip) and had No Problems at all. Got the ingame message instantly.It Played all my last saves, and i suffered no graphical problems either guys !!! I have been playing for roughly 7 hours and not one crash either.

Fantastic torrent, the best version of anchorage out there. It extracts to the base ESMs, no non-sense installers or anything. Perfect for Skullptura's Rip of the game: Installation process for US version of the game... 1: Download the official 1.1 patch from bethesda, 2: run said patch (very simple, detects the proper directory and everything) 3: (after moving the extracted ESMs to your installation directory /data) Use FOMM to enable anchorage / disable conflicting mods (freeplay after main quest for example) 4: (and this one is simply amazing) Play the game. I'm not sure if this is a problem endemic to vista 64(home premium) but I'm tossing it out here. No matter how many times I recheck and redownload this thing, it tells me that the BSA file is corrupt. After a while I just decide to throw it in the data folder anyway. What the hell. Everything seemed to work, I got the distress signal, etc. But whenever I try to exit the metro station that appears when you enable the content, the game CTD. faulting module Fallout3.exe error. I'd been playing the game 18 hours up till this point without getting that error, and it happens every, single, time I try to enter that cell.
Reinstalling it and disabling GFWL didn't seem to help, and I'm also using the FOMM. Any other ideas?

3. install it to the directory of fallout not data folder
4.check the box in data files
and I would recommend to download fallout3 mod manager for simple reason that fallout launcher by its nature unchecks the box of DLC after restarting the game, i dunno why
if you know how to use deamon tools and winrar you should have no problem
oh.. one more thing, the instalation stops on 25% but wait a bit and you'll be fine

okay.. i've been waiting for hours for the radio broadcast to come but it hasnt..
i got the fallout 3 mod manager and checked anchorage on that... i also went to data files and checked it on that and started the game but still no radio broadcast!!!
i put the files from the torrent into the data directory and followed the instructions.. what am i doing wrong?! any help?!

this dlc worked fine, i finished it, but the only thing was that some enemies weren't really enemies until you shot them or something, but that was probably my own effed up game. anywho, thanks for this! this was a short DLC

I bought all the DLC several years ago as they came out. Fun game and all. I didn't play Fallout for a long time, but now I've got the itch again. I deal with fucking "Windows Live" (aka we were too busy to change anything when we ported Xbox live), try to download all the DLC, what do I get? It asks for parental permission! Apparently Microsoft programmers can't figure out that 16 years + 3 years >>>>>>>>>>> 18 years. Fucking hell.
Fuck Microsoft, I'm not going to deal with their ten thousand service departments, and I'm not going to repurchase the software.
