Check out Spiral Pitfall @ myspace Bio: Spiral Pitfall was founded in the summer of 1998 in the small town of Sugar Camp, Wisconsin by Multi-instrumentalist, Vocalist - Jake Sheffer, and Percussionist - Bill Schattner. After the many ups and downs that occurred as a result of location changes and countless lineup reconfigurations, Spiral Pitfall is now stronger than ever and based in San Diego, CA. In the beginning, it was a combination of small town determination and music adoration that lead to the rapid progression of skill as the two learned their instruments. For the first few years they mimicked their favorite artists carefully; planting a seed that has grown into a band with greater perspective and attention to detail than that typically heard on the radio. In 2008, after a decade of experimentation, Spiral Pitfall showcased their unique sound by self-releasing their first 7 song EP 'Cryptic Poetry'. 'Cryptic Poetry' was recorded in Denver, San Diego, and Madison by exchanging files between band members, then living in the different cities. As a nod to the future, it was released 'Online Only' through all the major online stores and the band allowed fans free access via torrent hosting and MySpace.
