I don't know for sure but the activator could be a a trojan or something like that because I downloaded the torrent without activator and real player seems to work fine but symantec antivirus has warned me about tamper protection ( something in the program try to change the antivirus!) I am not specialist , I want you all just be aware!

You have to put the activation .exe into the Program Files/Real folder on your C drive, then run it. If you have Vista you will need to right click and run as admin, then patch. tcao

Then.
Copy rp11_activator.exe & paste It into your C:\ProgramFiles/Real/Realplayer folder.
Then.
Click the file you just Pasted.
Now click Patch and your done.

Yo Guy's For all you viste users i did manage to get it to work have a asus laptop p4 running xp and works fine
got a acer aspire notebook running viste AND WORKS FINE !!! only thing you have to do is patch it as an administrator, right click , open as and so on.
and now i'm back bauce the bedroom pc is a hp desktop running xp and my girl wants to put het music on her ipod ,also good for unlocking the ipod older vrsion, tried with nano too but no luck, didn't try hard though.

This is a legit way to upgrade from the "regular" version of Real Player - and gives you access to all of the features you want from the "Premium" Real Player Plus version.
To make this work (for Vista) here is what you do:
For this to work you must be able to run a program with administrator privileges under Vista. I think for earlier O/S of Windows this isn't a problem.
1. After downloading, open the folder and "right click" on the RealPlayer11GOLD.exe file so that you can run it as an administrator.
2. When that install program completes, cut/paste rp11_Activator.exe into the Program Files folder for Real player.
3. Make sure that Real Player is NOT running, or the patch process will fail to work... so make sure Real Player is not running, then go to the next step.
4. Right click the rp11_Activator.exe program and run as administrator. Click the Patch button... you should see that the patch program fixed/replaced 6 files.
5. If the files are fixed, then close the patch program.
You then can run Real Player and it will give you the ability to use the features people want this for.
Now you can adjust the equalizer & video settings that were either not available or limited before.
But the main reason for this is the way you can FINALLY convert those damn .ivr files into something useful.
For audio files you just right click the file in your library & convert the media. There are options as you do this, and then the file is in whatever type you want.
For ivr video files, you need to use the DVD burner feature that the Plus (or premium) player is capable of burning... after that is done, rip the video file and convert it using whatever video editing program you like best that can handle vob files. (you can change this extension to mpg if that makes a difference for you)
So... the bottom line is this - this torrent works to upgrade Real Player - so GET IT!!!
You can use this player as a web browser & rip flash media from websites... and if you adjust the settings a bit, you can have the files converted into something other than a .flv file - for easier use once downloaded. The help file is easy to use.
I use this program to download flash video from many websites, then convert them so I can upload them here. It takes a bit of practice, but this is an easy (and free) way to rip video & then convert/burn for your use.

It WORKS! Thanks so much. Works fine on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I right clicked on the program to install as well as the patch and set compatibility to Windows XP SP 3. No problems. Copy patch and paste it in the C:/Programfiles(x86)/Real/Real Player folder. Run the patch program and boom, done. Thanks Scribe!
