After the game is installed, the game will ask for you to insert the Play Disk. Just mount "Star Wars KotOR 2-4.iso" //\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\ Patch / Crack \//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\// 1.) To apply the crack just open the "swkotor.exe" to your SWKotOR root directory (C:Program FilesLucasArtsSWKotOR) 2.) When it asks if you want to replace the existing file press yes. [Vista users may need to run as admin] 3.) DONE!!! ENJOY!!!

This is a awesome game....Thanks for the upload....Just wish it was set up to extract and play....Thanks for the upload though....

dragonslayah (2009-12-05)

indeed, this is an awesome game! thanks for the upload!
i have one question though, has anyone had any luck playing this on win 7? and more specifically win 7 ultimate x64.
what i did was:
*install the game
*apply the patch
*crack
*run
when i run it i just get the error message: SW:Kotor has stopped working, check for solutions blablabla. launcher is working, config is working.
so i thought it might be because i patched, but i get the same problem without the patch, although without the patch neither config nor launcher works properly.
oh, and i have changed the compability (tried all the xp packs and all the vista packs), but i still get the same problem.

RexRuudy (2009-12-13)

Same problem as dragonslayah. Anyone?

lodexx (2009-12-13)

Running on Windows 7:
1. After installing right click the desktop icon
2. click properties
3. go to compatibility and select Windows XP (service pack 2)
* I couldn't get this crack to work on windows 7, I got one from www.gamecopyworld.com that works

zeawee (2009-12-25)

lodexx can you please tell me which file u downloaded from gamecopyworld? because i couldn't find a file named kotor crack for windows 7.. thank you.

hounter90 (2009-12-31)

for some reason the game crashes after about 5 minutes of play. im running XP media center edition, anyone know how to fix it?

jack6251 (2010-02-18)

DO NOT DOWNLOAD IF YOU HAVE VISTA!!!
If you want a world of headaches and trouble, go ahead, but from my experience it's really not worth the hassle.
Vista has a LOT of compatability issues with older games and KOTOR has maaaany websites + forums with guides on how to make the game work on Vista, and the advice given doesn't always work. I tried everything and spent hours messing about and other users of Vista and Windows 7 have also followed KOTOR forum advice only to have the game fail and crash.
If you want it bad enough to try for yourself, go ahead, but you'll be wasting your time more than likely!

SashaNekosune (2010-03-30)

Number 4 isnt working. it has to setup on it.

swinburne (2010-06-19)

no what you do..sorry say but it doesnt work in vista. if you wanna blame someone..blame bill gates

beaglefoo (2010-07-03)

sooo...i'm running windows vista 32 bit with a 320 hard drive and 3 gigs of ram.
this game keeps randomly crashing and its obviously really aggravating.
any help?

soulless93 (2010-07-25)

ok those of you who are running vista you got to turn off DEP heres a link how
http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1261/vista_disable_dep_noexecute_protection_fix_explorer_crashing/

ThePunchmaster (2010-08-24)

looked great, downloaded fast. but, when i try to mount it, deamons tools just crashes... any fix?

Rhondalgun (2010-08-25)

I tried everything you guys said here, but I still couldn't play it on W7, I had to play on XP.

DareArkin (2010-08-25)

If you're having trouble getting this to cooperate with Windows 7, use this crack. Worked perfectly for me when others failed. Don't know WHY but it did. Make sure you get the one called "PROPER" from gamecopyworld. :)

kolbasz (2010-09-05)

win7 solution:
i downloaded patch 1.03 and used gamecopyworld's 1.03 fix. It works fine.
(i have 64bit win7)

blaymoric (2010-09-13)

@Jack6215
My left ass cheek. Ive played as old as 1995 on vista with NO PROBLEM whatsoever. Nor have i ever had any issue running Window's vista(home premium SP2). Hell, i have a DOS game from 1994 (Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of darkness) and using dosbox, it runs like a dream. So please, Shut. the fuck. up.

tytepants (2010-10-21)

ATTENTION: FOR ANYONE WHO IS HAVING PROBLEMS: a lot of people are complaining about the game crashing when they try to enter the undercity on taris. this is because you have intel chipset video drivers. it is a rediculously easy fix. go to options, graphics, and turn off "show grass" and "show shadows". it should run just fine now.

47adok (2010-10-30)

this doesnt work

6inarow (2010-11-28)

does anybpdy else have issues running this on a laptop? i have a 2009 toshiba with an AMD dual core, and ATI graphics.

pinkbiff (2010-12-28)

It's near impossible to get this to work on 64 bit win7...

MattCiessan (2011-01-13)

For windows 7 users, I got it to work by getting a No-CD crack from here:
http://www.freeinfosociety.com/site.php?postnum=987

I have a 64-bit laptop. I couldn't get it past the launcher screen until downloading it from that site.

miconway553 (2011-02-13)

okay so everything went well. i installed the game
put the crack in then however i tried running it, and after opening it it shows my desktop in a shitty resolution with the space ship in the right corner. i have XP on a very old shitty 2002 dell dimension however i upgraded the ram to 3gb.
any help pleasee?

Tataikun (2011-02-15)

Great download, totally recommend it. Thank!

coocooforcocopuffs (2011-02-17)

Anyone else having a problem with CD 4? During installation I did just fine mounting CDs 1-3, but once I got to CD 4 it acted fine. Then after asking me if I wanted a desktop icon it asked for CD 4 again, but won't accept my mounted CD 4. :(

coocooforcocopuffs (2011-02-17)

ok I figured out how to get past that, but now it crashes right after the splashscreen. and yes i applied the crack. can anyone help? :(

ScrowTomQc (2011-02-24)

it work well for me on W7 when using ''windows 98'' in compatibility ... but not when using Xp pack 2

dnutz123 (2011-03-05)

im having a problem ive mounted Star Wars KotOR 2-4.iso and im still getting the message please insert the play disc can anybody help me i really want to play this game

japanduh (2011-03-13)

keeps crashing at the begining part

xaowx (2011-03-21)

Initial setup works, but the crack does not if your running windows 7. However the 1.03 fixed .exe at
http://m0003.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_sw_knights_of_the_old_republic.shtml#Knights%20of%20the%20Old%20Republic%20v1.03%20[ENGLISH]%20Fixed%20EXE

will make it work on 7.
Anyways thanks uploader! Works great, the only issue that I've experienced is the text on the main menu isn't showing up, but its very easy to figure out whats what.

jsportive (2011-04-09)

okay, i have no problems with the installation and running the start of the game.
but after a while playing, the game freezes, and i get knocked onto my desktop where windows gives me a notion that the exe has a huge problem and is shut down.
it happens after a few minutes of play, and when i know it will happen, and i save, and restart the whole program, i can play a little more, but freezes again after a while.
any help please?
[email protected]

Spellchamp (2011-05-26)

What? It says it won't run on Windows 7? It says I'm failing on the requirements and that's where I'm failing!

Vire70 (2011-06-06)

I have the same issue as 'coocooforcocopuffs'. I got to Disk 4, mounted fine, it installed that portion, asked me if I wanted a desktop icon (I said yes), then a dialog pops up asking you to insert disc 4 again. Which makes no sense since it's already mounted. Remounting or mounting any of the other discs doesn't work, it simply will not progress.
Can I also say, for the two people who apparantly had this problem and deemed it important enough to post 'I fixed it', how about you fucking reveal HOW you fixed it in the future.

Vire70 (2011-06-06)

Game appears to work if you alt tab out and close the process of the installer when it asks for the final Disc 4. If you click no it deletes the entire installation.
Still, incompetent instructions, but that is for some reason not unusual amongst modders/crackers.

Vire70 (2011-06-06)

Just a note that the game is virtually unplayable for me. This is on Windows XP 32bit, all latest drivers/windows updates etc. It simply constantly crashes in the first mission. This is almost as bad as the Force Unleashed 2 torrents.

Vire70 (2011-06-07)

Nevermind. Fixed the issues which were game related and not torrent related. Just an FYI if anyone finds the game crashing constantly, add "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1" under Graphical Options in the swkotor.cfg/ini file. Fixed all my issues.

rossboys12 (2011-06-30)

Sorry for not taking more care of you guys :). But I had NO problems installing on any computers. Sorry i can't be more help :/

11Ace11 (2011-07-25)

For everyone who is having problems with the game crashing every 5 minute's try changing the settings in you video card's console, this worked for me, also heard that some of the newer driver's have problems, so you might want to roll your driver back to an earlier version. :)

jaded4282 (2011-07-31)

My issue is that once I become a jedi, all of my attributes go back to 8 so I only get one skill point per upgrade. Anyone else have that problem? If so, what's the fix?

jkuc316 (2011-11-02)

Hey I need help, because after I shoot down the Sith gunships using the Ebon Hawk the Game closes itself automatically. Can someone please help?

WeirdCulture (2012-04-10)

SOLVED! Points for Canada! Hell yes! After completing the standard 4 disk installation; next you will: (1) Mount play-disk: "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic CD 1 of 4" (2) Install upgrades from the kotor in-game menu. (3) Install and implement the two patches; "Knights of the Old Republic v1.02 [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE", "Knights of the Old Republic VISTA & WINDOWS 7 CRASHFIX" found at
http://m0003.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_sw_knights_of_the_old_republic.shtml#Knights%20of%20the%20Old%20Republic%20v1.03%20[ENGLISH]%20Fixed%20EXE
(4) open kotor's directory found at--> "C:ProgramFilesLucasArtsSWKotOR" (unless otherwise designated) (5) Select SWKotOr directory --> properties --> and uncheck the Read-Only attribute --> apply changes. (6) Select "C:Program FilesLucasArtsSWKotORswkotor.exe" --> properties --> Compatibly -> select Windows XP (service pack 2) --> apply the changes.
(7) Now launch the game from kotors directory -
C:ProgramFilesLucasArtsSWKotORswkotor.exe"
(8) Change the graphics to the lowest possible settings. Deselect grass, shade, and set all other advanced graphic settings. All graphics must be set to the lowest and bare minimum. (9) Now we're ready for action. BE SURE TO: launch the game from kotor's actual directory while "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic CD 1 of 4" is mounted. (no shortcuts)

WeirdCulture (2012-04-10)

Note: you may reinstate the default graphic settings after ensuring gameplay is smooth. I my self am playing with the most optimized and high-def settings available. This may result in some twitchiness at first, but ride out the lags and viola!

WeirdCulture (2012-04-20)

POST SCRIPT: After following my instructions and If you're experiencing a blank black screen don't be distressed. Before you succumb to bewilder, simply press the 'windows key' on your keyboard (between the 'alt' and 'fn' or 'ctrl' keys.) The game will be minimized and you will be staring at your desktop. Now you will reselect the game from your taskbar (The head of Darth Malak icon.) After an uncertain moment of dark oblivion the game should kick into action. God speed my fellow weird and nerdy, id be happy if at least one person found my counsel to be helpful. May the force be with you.

DredPriest (2012-05-14)

For the ppl with the CD4 issues I had it too just unmont it and remount it in the same spot. On another not I am having issues running it when I mount iso 2 then run the game it goes in and then pops up a error message and I click don't send I have tried on several time and same problem. any suggestions?

DredPriest (2012-05-18)

SO YEAH FOR SOME REASON I CAN'T UNINSTALL THIS AND I TRIED TO REINSTALL IT AND IT JUST WONT WORK. I GIVE THIS TORRENT -5 STARS

avann33 (2012-06-17)

Sorry I'm new to this, what do you mean by mounting the second disc on top of the first one? How do I do this?

jori4fun (2012-06-17)

avann33 - right click your Daemon tools.
- Virtual Devices
- Add DT virtual drive - mount whatever you want to mount.
Win.

jori4fun (2012-06-17)

however, im not sure if it's specifically saying not to add another virtual drive or not.
'do not mount "Star Wars KotOR 2-4.iso" on another virtual drive, simply mount it over "Star Wars KotOR 1-4.iso"

nexuspt07 (2012-07-09)

Well im installing and after it asks me if i want to create a shortcut it asks me for disk 4, i tried unmouting and mounting, mountng the other disks and it doesn't work i click ok and the window asking for disk 4 appears again. Anyone know how to fix this?

Rogue-Splinter-Cell (2012-07-26)

www.LucasForums.com can help with any problems you might have, im also under the same alias there.

AfterTheGoldRush (2012-08-04)

ATTENTION ALL WINDOWS 7 64-BIT USERS (may work on 32-bit as well)
THE GAME DOES NOT INITIALLY WORK, BUT IT CAN, GIVEN A FEW TWEAKS.
Firstly, download the game and mount it with an ISO burner. I used Deamon Tools.
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads

Once it is installed, mount each of the four (4) .RAR files to a separate virtual disc, and start burning CD1. When the program asks you for the location of CD2, select the virtual drive that you placed CD2 in.
Once this is completed, you should be able to install and launch the game. However, because KotOR is only compatible on up to Windows XP, several problems may (most likely, will) occur.
The first thing you'll want to do when you start the launcher is to update the game. After you have done so, to assure that you have the correct update, download the most recent fix from one of the several websites that have the proper files needed to make the game compatible. I used the 1.03 update file from cnet:
http://download.cnet.com/Star-Wars-Knights-of-the-Old-Republic-1-03-patch/3000-7536_4-10266938.html

This file will be named "swkotor.exe", you must copy this file into your program files from KotOR. Be sure to backup your current swkotor.exe file by dragging it to the desktop. Once the file is in place, run the update from the launcher. It should not detect any updates.
Next, you'll notice that the game crashes immediately after the opening logos. This is fixed by re-launching the game, and selecting "CONFIGURE" on the launcher. Under "DISABLE MOVIES" check "YES", and under screen resolution, set it to 800x600; you can change it later on, and even make it widescreen.
Next, you're going to want to patch the game for widescreen usage, if you prefer. I used the widescreen program at this site:
http://www.wsgf.org/software/star-wars-knights-old-republic

Please note, that when you change the default resolution, that it will NOT matter what it is set to, in game. It will remain at 1920x1080 if you choose that resolution. Another thing to note is the HUD. When the resolution is changed, the HUD elements stay where they would be if the game was running on a 4:3 aspect ratio. The aforementioned site also has a fix to this.
Another thing you may want to do is to use the cheat console. To do this, find the game's swkotor.ini file in the director, and open it with a program such as Notepad++:
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
Find the file called "swkotor.ini" in your KotOR game folder. Edit the file with Notepad++ and under the line [Game Options] add the following line:
EnableCheats=1
BE SURE TO SAVE THE FILE AS .ini, NOT A .txt FILE
Finally, it is worth noting that almost all graphical changes made in the "OPTIONS" menu will crash the game. I do not consider these options (Anti-Aliasing, Shadows, Grass) vital, they're just something extra. Sometimes, you can get the game to save an action, even if it crashes the game, but I wouldn't lose too much sleep over any of it.
That's it! You're done! Have fun drowning in nostalgia. Remember to save often using F4!
-AfterTheGoldRush

AfterTheGoldRush (2012-08-04)

CORRECTION: Instead of downloading the 1.03 update from cnet, you WILL need a CD-less 1.03 update. Get it here, and be sure to turn OFF any adblock programs.

McMerda (2013-01-11)

normally i dont post hater comments, but this torrent pisses me off.
all i needed was the iso files. your added crack crap did not help or work. also, when you make a readme file, your supposed to give correct information, not wrong information, thats kinda logical. your readme says to mount the 2nd image after installation. your supposed to mount the 1st. this is what fucked over dnutz123. and and thank you xaowx for the crack that actually works.
just stick with what people need next time. and give the correct information with it.

kep37 (2013-03-07)

Install went perfect with AftertheGoldRush's bit. Unfortunately, I can't get past the Ebon Hawk image because securom (ikr, wtf these guys >_>) pulled their error 30001 on me. Anyone know how to get past this? I've followed the advice of some others on various sites stating to uninstall Daemon Tools, and fix my registries, but nothing's working. AVG hasn't detected anything "corrupt" in the file either, soooo yeah, securom's off doing their thing again.
So, again, anyone know how to get past this?

SN0000PY (2013-08-05)

to everyone who cant past the ebon hawk image,U GUYS NEED A DIFFERENT CRACK. so just install the game, dont crack it..patch it first and THEN CRACK WITH THIS HERE ----->
http://www.freeinfosociety.com/site.php?postnum=987

ist the only working crack i've found.
ps: it works even on windows 8

Sardonia (2013-10-25)

Disabling movies like AfterTheGoldRush mentioned, after tossing on the update and patch, works and gets the game running just fine...no crash when starting it. Now, is there a way I can watch said movies? Obviously, since they're disabled, one cannot play them from the 'Movies' on the main menu.
