lyntc10: If you have a iPod Touch 2G and have latest iTunes installed. Push restore with shift pushed down. Should work.

unable to downgrade!! I got ipod touch 2nd gen upgraded to 4.1...anyway, I get error 3194 from i tunes, I added "74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com" to "hosts" using notepad and saved it. I keep getting the same shitty error. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I'm running win 7 btw. any help is much appreciated

@jerikoslap: You need to have saved your SHSH of 3.1.2, while Apple was still letting you install it on your device.
