This definitely starts out at the main rail station in Kyoto, heading east. I believe it is the Kosei Line, which goes NE to Omi-Shiotsu Station in Nishiasai, Shiga.
I'm only 100% sure of the starting point in Kyoto. The rest is my best guess from clues in the video.
