Hi messrsmoony,
If you want to install this game or any other VC/WiiWare use thse instructions :
1. You need Zelda : Twilight Princess because we have to use a hack that use this game to install VC/Wiiware Games
2. You need a SD card with an hacked Zelda saved file on. The hacked zelda saved game can be found on wiibrew.org, but choose the good hack on the website because it differs for each Region (USA/EUR/JAP)
3. Copy Megaman 9 (game.wad) or any other game on your SD card
4. Copy the Zelda hacked save game on your Wii
5. Lauch Zelda, choose the first save slot to launch the story and talk to the first guy you meet.
6. A Unix window will appear and you will have to press reset to start the game installation.
7. The game is installed on you Wii and a new icon will be present in the wii menu !
Seems complicated.. but it's the only way to install WiiWare/VC without paying ... For more info (and a video tutorial) go here :

I can install, uninstall, and launch it fine, but it just resets to the wii home menu. I can't actually play it. My other wiiware work fine. Any ideas?

Things changes by 2012, you should be able to install it using any WAD manager after softmoding your wii.
