If you are looking for warez or cracked stuff this is not for you. There are 1000's of cracked windows torrents out there, also cracking kits and CD keys, just go get one.
I had to search multiple times to find a Windows .iso that was NOT cracked or otherwise screwed around with by some l33t hax0r. I am hoping this is it.
I am pulling this because I lost my Win XP CD and I need to reinstall it to test some software I'm writing ... I normally use Linux, and my XP partition has gotten bit rot since I last used it.
Microsoft could do the world a public service by providing legit downloads - it's not like they are controlling piracy - most people know where to get a physical CD for free, it's just a pain in the butt to do so. Sigh.

Hope this is the ISO I need to install XP on PS3(you can run XP on PS3, but you gotta run it through emulation through Linux).
For that I need a clean ISO, or a real XP CD. The one I got is just a recovery:(

downloaded this yesterday and when loading to pc said needed hd drivers xp would only do that post sp1 anything after that sata hd are recognised hope it was the burning prob need to slow it down maybe anyone had this problem!!..

Davecc ... its not about legit downloads. its about the licensing. The OEM Version licensing agreement is one use per customer. if your windows messes up and u have to do a reinstall then u voided the user agreement and have to buy a new license. Thats the difference between the own a CD XP and OEM version

I have legit product key and after install, I just activate it via internet. Add drivers from HP website and all in all works fine.

I can't get this or any Pirate Bay Windows XP .iso to boot on my laptop. Setup throws up some text, then the screen goes black and stays black.
However, I downloaded ReactOS and burned that to CD and was able to boot that on my laptop. So ReactOS has something that Pirate Bay .iso's don't.

@gayflea You probably need to integrate drivers (most likely sata drivers) into any xp iso to work for your laptop. Google your problem and I'm sure you'll find some kind of tutorial to fix it.

Thanks for this download. All I needed was access to the R (Recovery Console) function and this got me there without needing a password. None of my other WinXP versions had the R function.
