This is a remarkable film that takes a relatively simple, straightforward plot and uses it to explore the depths of human feelings and the nature of conflict and love. Make no mistake, it is NOT a sappy or a soggy film. It is as intense as can be and there was never a moment watching it that I viewed as filler. Acting, dialog, and direction are all top drawer. Highly recommended for even the most demanding of viewers. Time watching it is time well spent
