Harnoncourt? Ya gotta be kiddin' me, right? Seriously, Harnoncourt is a master of Early Music. Even Mozart is kind of pushing it for him. His orchestra, Concentus Musicus of Vienna, plays almost exclusively baroque and early classical music on original period instruments. I once heard him conduct a Stravinsky work and it was like he had never heard the music before. He just had no concept of it. But I am looking for a good recording of the "Slavonic Dances" so I will give this a try. Maybe I will be surprised!
