Niak - check your math. 2.56gb = 2,560,000 kb. 2,560,000 kb / 56 kbps = 45714 seconds = 762 minutes = ~12.7 hours, so it would take at least that long to d/L on a 56k.
Not to be picky or anything, but to RNguy's credit, he's above 56k. Haha...

Neither of you are even close in calculating that math correctly.
8 bits = 1 byte
Therefore:
56kbps = 7KBps
So his maximum download would be more like 7KBps - but more realistically somewhere around 5 depending on the quality of the phone line running into his house.
Using correct math and his theoretical maximum download speed - this torrent would take someone with a 56k modem a little over 100 hours to download.
If he downloaded this torrent in 8 hours then his bandwidth would have to be at least 800kbps - but more likely 1 meg.
