Thanks cosmoLV this made it a lot easier for us windows users!
for those who are not sure of the steps to perform...
using 1,1 2.0 custom firmware on 1st gen iphone

- make sure you are currently on 1.1.4 jailbroken/unlocked/activated (i used ziphone for this)
- install winpwn 1.0 and follow instructions to 'iphwner' your phone
- using itunes 7.7 hold shift + restore and select the 1,1 2.0 custom firmware
- takes some time to restore and reflash the baseband but after all is done you will have 2.0
