For true Dolby Digital 5.1 use an optical cable (Toslink) connected to your PS3, WDTV or Apple TV and connect it to a receiver that can decode the Dolby Digital signal. (most major brands) When using an XBox 360, make sure you have the latest firmware and stream using the latest Microsoft compatible streaming software. Dolby Digital 5.1 is supported on XBox 360 however, it is not supported when using a streaming software. PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS AND SEED!!!!!!!!! If a comment is left, I would like a short description of your entertainment set-up.....for example.....I use an Apple TV connected to a 55" Samsung LED with a Samsung Receiver connecting my surround sound. Basically, a short description on what you primarily use to play my rips.......Thx! ________________________________________________________ Kellso76

Dude any chance of the original Starship Troopers getting done, nobody has a proper 720P version. And you would be the 1st to do it. Awesome effort btw.

Yeah I got a good copy of that one........If more people request it, I will put it up...Thx for ur feedback

Thanks for the up :-)
I use a Dvico 6600 media player, 55" LED Samsung TV and Onkyo receiver (HD audio)
One thing I'd like to see less of is AAC audio and more AC3/DTS
Not many things can output 5.1 in AAC

@ozsteve
I agree totally....alot of encoders use 6 channel ACC which is not true Dolby Digital 5.1. Its the equivalent of Pro Logic II but its not Dolby Digital. Most receivers can't identify it so it outputs it as a Pro Logic II track with sound going to all 6 channels. U can def tell the difference between 6 channel and DD 5.1......I would like to go with DTS but not enuff Media Players support it.
