Well, with all the money you're not spending at the Movie Rental Store, you should be able to afford a bigger hard drive to accommodate both the packed and unpacked versions of rar files.
The arguments surrounding RAR files seem to never end around here - especially with novice (n00b) torrent users.
Suffice it to say, you can't / won't win this one - GET OVER IT!
Here's a nifty program for ya:
Dziobas Rar Player:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/503549
This will play rar (and other) files without unpacking - and like VLC, it does not require CODECS!
That make you any happier? - LOL
OH, YEAH - ALMOST FORGOT:
THANK YOU, AiTB - KEEP ON RAR'n

Shadeztreez (2009-02-08)

the trailer looks really good
thanks for the upload

I strongly agree!
RAR files are the king! (way better quality). And that is worth the tiny bit of effort it takes to unpack them, fo sho.
Then, erase the .rar files after unpacking. Couldn't be any easier...

CSuk (2009-02-09)

Ta Muchly 4 the UL...
If your a film buff like moi and you think you recall this title...your right. But its not the 1998 film of the same title that starred Alec Baldwin, this is the 2009 (totally different story also) film starring Antonio Banderas.

Thanks!

How about NOT erasing them, however, until you have seeded for a while...ratio >1

Right then, dealing with rar files for all you newbs, its not difficult. I use Alzip to extract mine but winrar and the like does the same thing.
1. Highlight every file in the folder except for the sfv file, the nfo file and any other folders, in other words, all the rar files, then right click and select alzip if thats what you use and select extract here.
2. Once you have the avi file, with the rar files still being highlighted, right click on 'em again and select delete as you won't be needing them anymore and they just take up space.
What is so hard about that, oh and you have to remove the file from the torrent download program to delete the rar files. If you wish to be the good, friendly seeder, then follow this for vuze users, not sure about utorrent.
Files -> Open -> Torrent File.
Add the torrent in that dialog, make sure you have the exact path to the file entered. Under 'Add Mode,' choose 'Stopped' and click OK
In the torrent view, right-click and select 'Force Recheck.' If the path was added correctly, it'll pick up the file and check that all the pieces are good.

Djsanz (2009-02-11)

Sorry i just noticed a problem in my info (last comment), you cannot delete the rar files if you wish to start seeding again once deleted from library coz the rar files are part of the torrent file. Mind you, you could reupload it as an avi and save others having to extract but thats up to you guys.

mucko99 (2009-02-11)

yes you can win rar argument rars are a waste of time you cant play rars so fuck no's why you would say you can . rars are only good if you need to password a file all they do is waste the persons time who is raring and the persons time unpacking . they are just a waste of time full stop

orsoncart67 (2009-02-14)

WHY OH WHY DO PEOPLE MOAN ABOUT RAR FILES files are easier to distribute in that format THE MAIN REASON FOR USING THE FORMAT IS THAT FAT32 CANNOT HANDLE FILES BIGGER THAN 4GIG i know this file is 703MiB still i dont understand.... hasnt everyone got dual core + very hard drives for fuck all money when i have d/loaded this torrent it WILL ONLY take about 15secs to unpack raring a file DOES NOT AFFECT ITS INTEGRETY i.e. the quality of the movie was better cause it had been rar'd??????!!!!???? thats just plain nonsence its a compresion utility thats it!!!!

wanda_5 (2009-03-31)

orsoncart67, you are totally retarded if u think that some1 still uses FAT32. And even if u do have FAT32, it doesnt help if u pack it to smaller files due u still need to UNPACK it before use.
Its waste of HDD space and time to rar (video) files. Thats my opinion.
Great torrent, thanks for that.

orsoncart67 (2009-04-03)
