Once again - I have very limited bandwidth - so please be patient, no flaming, and help me seed - this one is far bigger... Props to all the seeders on the previous upload!
Please don't ask me questions about how to install, unlock, etc. - do some reading.
Shareall and the rest of the garmin torrent guys - help me seed please!

Zorkin (2008-04-25)

lunarcanary - that's very interesting that your NOD32 piked up a trojan, considering that I'm the only one seeding at the moment, and availabilty is currently 1.156. So does your anti-virus also magically reconstruct the file and then check it???
Piss off - THIS FILE IS CLEAN! I repeat - checked with Trend Micro def. v 5.231.000
I will recheck the source files and my system to make sure - but smells to me like someone does not want this torrent up.

Zorkin (2008-04-25)

That's odd... lunarcanary comment gone?!? TPB admin? Anyway - checked whole system and files with latest defs 5.239.000 (24/04/08) - squeeky clean...

Zorkin (2008-04-26)

Okeydokes - I see 7 seeders on, I'm going to throttle it back - enjoy!
Comments - is it working for people? Like it?

Zorkin (2008-04-27)

Well, everybody has their favorite ;-) I hear NOD32 is pretty good? Also cross checked with Norton's, I know - that is confirmedly crappy, but really unlikely between the two to have a problem - and spyware doctor thrown on top! I like to keep my systems clean ;-)
Other than the phantom lunarcracy, who was talking shit because less than 16% was up - doesn't look like anybody else has had any problems?
Anyway, DEM coming up next!

Zorkin (2008-04-27)

Oh - anybody have latest Europe streetmaps?

funkimonki (2008-04-27)

Nice. No problems installing or anything else. These support routing so, unless you're pretty damn low on disc space, grab these rather than just the straight-up southern africa streetmaps torrent http://thepiratebay.se/tor/4153340 ...The data in both are virtually the same except for contour lines, trails, gravel/misc roads (topo/rec stuff, duh) in this Topo-n-Rec version.
...Looking forward to going to Namibia someday.

Zorkin (2008-04-27)

Thanks funkimonki - nice to get some positive feedback! Yeah, topo and rec much more detailed - figured people might want the lighter set for older sets. DEM coming up - big upload, damn nice looking though!
Namibia is fucking awsome - miles and miles of space...

funkimonki (2008-04-27)

Oh and: what version of CN Europe? I think CNE 2008 is the latest. I have the NT version (non-NT version is posted elsewhere on TPB but my GPS supports NT so that's what I got).
BTW... City Navigator Europe v9 NT is older - CNE 2008 shows up as "v10.00" in the Mapsource map product info screen.

Zorkin (2008-04-27)

Got City Navigator Europe 2008 NT - is that the latest? Great maps none the less...

funkimonki (2008-04-27)

Zorkin: I'm pretty sure CNE 2008 NT are the latest maps. There are also some good sets of topo maps (most also support routing) out there for roughly half of the EU27. I have topo maps for AT, CZ, HU, LT, NL, NO, PL (partial), SK, ES, CH, UA and UK. I'm sure there are more but you'd obviously have to look fairly hard.
There are also excellent maps of the Adriatic states - Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia. It all depends on where you're going and what you want to do but I would highly suggest supplementing the CNE maps, no matter how new they are, with the (usually locally-made) country-specific maps. I've found that the Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic country-specific maps to be far superior to the CNE maps.

Hi Z, Any chance you have the mapsource codes for these? the rest is easy, :-)

 Olafsos (2008-07-11)

Hello Guys I cannot upload any torrentz in the moment in here, anybody cares to help me? I always get database error 27.
I have over 10 new countries to cover

PapaSan3651 (2008-07-11)

Anayone have the code to unlock this map in MapSource ?

mark17022 (2009-01-22)

Hey Zorkin awesome maps dude! Easily unlocks with Jetmouse's unlock generator.
Just a quick question about the different versions of the SA maps. Does the DEM torrent you did have all this one has plus the elevation info or is it just the streetmaps + DEM and not the recreational stuff you mention here?
Sorry dude still learning the differences here :)

Zorkin (2009-02-16)

Hey mark17022 - only saw this now - you should check out
http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4721355/Southern_Africa_Streetmaps_2009__Digital_Elevation_Model
- it's the update to this one. It's a cross in between the two - DEM gives you elevation profiles upfront for example when you use MapSource, but does not have as many off road and other rec. stuff that Topo and Rec has.

htc123 (2009-03-11)

Unlocking the map using the unlock utility from JetMouse works fine for the Garmin, but is there anybody that has the serial for this for MapSource? Or am I just being stupid? Please help!
