No reason to get School Rumble fansubs now. Exiled Destiny has the first two seasons in eng-sub and eng-dub in dvd quality.

It's a matter of preference. American mainstream translations tend to dumb down the dialogue, or just make things up if they think a concept or joke is too complicated for their target audience, which in their mind, have the IQ of a cucumber.
Apart from the quality issues that Exiled Destiny rips tend to have (can't say for their School Rumble rips, but in the past, some huge errors have slipped past them).
