This is a zip file containing the whole game. No need to install. Just unzip (extract) and play. It sounds incredible but MULTIPLAYER REALLY WORKS. The thing is its a private server so there aren't shit load of people online but theres still plenty of people on it. I know you will think it isn't real because of the format but try it. I promise you won't regret it.

i got it, and i have to say its good, but not that great. for some reason, the texture quility is horrible, even on high settings, i lag online, and i disconnect randomly from the main server. my inter net is high speed and never shuts down, so its probally the torrent.

It works..it is NOT the regular Halo pc version...you will need a cd & cd key for that. This IS the CE...custom edition, same as regular Halo but NO campaign mode and you can't get on the regular servers...BUT you can get on all the CE servers and tehre are usually 400+ servers up everyday and tons of people.

BORED? Tired of MODS? Want more players and challenges?
To play more mutliplayer, you will need to:
1) Uninstall, then install this version of Halo (Combat Evolved). This is to uninstall any updates later than 1.00, so you can connect to more players.
2) Download and install Halo CUSTOM EDITION, the expansion pack of Combat Evolved. They are two separate games.
3) Download "Halo version changer" from Ganadur, and apply the files into your Halo directories. Those files will prevent your game from checking for updates. The updates will connect you to less players. If you accidentally installed the updates, then uninstall your updated Halo client, and install it again.
4) Download Xfire, a third party game client, to play on Xfire Custom Edition and/or Xfire Combat Evolved servers.
By doing all of the steps above, you will get a total of FOUR different multiplayer servers to play with!
