Am I crazy, or are there two audio tracks playing at once in this DivX? Is there some way to isolate the English from the German?

Yes, the audio has English & Italian language at the same time. I removed the Italian by loading the avi into VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/), then selecting Audio, Source audio, Stream 2 (which is the English stream) then Save as AVI... This took a couple of minutes to save, and the avi no longer had mixed language audio - Yay!

I forgot to say that I also selected Video, Direct stream copy - which I believe will speed up the save by a wide margin.
