For all those having problems, create an image of the extracted folder with a program like "ImgBurn", then burn that image to disc. That way you will retain the audio and video of the original.

Thanks for the release, only one that works that I have found (that is, only release of this DVD that works, don't know how well it allows you to calibrate your HDTV) it is in PAL format thus doesn't work on US/Canada Region Code DVD players, I have an older 70 dollar Sony DVD player so it is restricted by region codes, it plays on my PC just fine but I need it for my TV.
I burned the DVD then ripped it using DVD Shrink and selected the option to remove the region code and re-burned it but it still doesn't work on my Sony DVD player, any suggestions? Maybe I did something wrong, who knows. Thanks for the release anyway, get a +1 from me!

Maybe the problem is not the region code but the signal format (NTSC/PAL). Most TV and DVD Players can show both formats correctly, but older ones might not work with one of them.
Otherwise what is the meaning of "doesn't work on my Sony DVD player"?

I burned this fine with ImgBurn. It won't play on my Sony Blu-ray player (with naturally does DVD, +R, -R, etc., also). So I assume it's in PAL format and not much use to NTSC. It does play fine on my computer though. So I assume if you have a computer hooked up to your HDTV then it might be ok. I will probably run a cable from my computer over to my HDTV and give that a shot. Rather annoying though.

it's not as simple as u think. I'm not installing NERO/NERO Vision and all its other bulky crap just to convert. I have searched google and there are no properly working lightweight conversion programs. TMPG doesn't even allow these file types to be converted, only .avi for the most part.......
Anyone have a good program to convert PAL > NTSC. PAL SUCKS! My PS3 is my DVD player and wont play PAL

this converts .ifo and .vob filetypes unlike the stupid program chuddd suggested.
lots of good comments and reviews about this conversion. i will post again when I have successfully converted Pal > NTSC

It does the same things NERO does but is MUCH more lightweight and doesn't infect your computer with "tenticles" and addon BS.
After downloading/installing, go to settings and select encoding tab. From there, in the first drop down list select your output (in my case NTSC).
Also, note that you can customize DVD menus, although it makes a default menu which is nice.
Your "Working Folder" in the General settings tab is your output folder.
Select all the files you unrarred from this torrent, and convert it.
After it converts (may take 5-8 minutes) it will prompt you to burn to a DVD. I suggest you do it rather than closing and then burning with ImgBurn or something else.
As for the actually content of the video, it is a pretty helpful. They talk to you like you're a retard but the demo images and videos are set up to correct brightness, contrast, sharpness, tint, and screen ratio (16:9 vs 16:10 etc.)
Other than that, it just seems like an advertising technique to get you to buy Monster cables. Dont listen to that Asian asshole when he tells you you need ISF certified Monster cables for better quality. A cable is a cable. Dont spend 40 bucks on an HDMI or over 10 bucks on ANY cable for that matter.

Well, that is somewhat true what you are saying sukTHEfac.
Monster charges way too much for cables that are the same exact quality that can be found at good online sites.
A $10 cable may or may not be equal. And you will not know for sure unless you get it in your hands or the site is very detailed with description and has reviews from other customers saying it works very well.
Is it as thick? (AWG #) is it gold tipped or not? Is it a shielded cable or not? Is it rated for in-wall use or not? It does not just comes down to price but generally, I would NEVER buy Monster cables and would never buy my 'extras" from the retail stores like Best Buy, etc because the markup is ridiculous ! Yes, they charge you $100 for a 12foot cable that can be bought online for $20. Fuck that!

Hey Schlubs! Go watch this video about HDMI and then run down to the little foreign guy selling them for $12 because they're as good as the $150 Monster Cable. Hint: Digital signals are D-I-G-I-T-A-L. They are 1's and 0's. It's not a wave signal.

I guess it is because you don't calibrate the "resolution of the tv". You calibrate the colors, the brightness and the contrast.
I do suspect you are correct in thinking it would be better with Blu-Ray, but I've seen TVs calibrated with this disk, and they look good.
