As stated before this was GREAT!!! Very easy, my freind installed windows 7 for me with all the bells and wistles but shortly after getting home and using it I had THAT screen come up "your not using genuine...blah blah. He came over and "fixed it" and whithin an hour it came back.

This proggie gets detected as a HackTool:Win32/Wpakill program. What do you expect from a hack program made to override WPA? That's what it effectively is, a Hack Tool and a WPA killer. uh-oh i think macro$oft caught up to us. I downloaded an update KB2158563.. it states that it's for "windows 7 for x64-based systems" which is supposed to "resolve daylight savings time changes for year 2010"...i dunno how much of that is true because after installing this update i got that "windows 7, build 7600, this copy of windows is not genuine" message at the bottom right of the screen. It's not "doing" anything but it's just that message appears and i dunno if it's gonna do something? I used this WAT remover to reinstall the WAT (i previously had it removed with version 2.2.5), and then re-remove it again...still no luck, message still appears there :|

A friend of mine helped me with my win 7 and I had the pop up. So she gave me this link. I dl it, run it as admin, and it did get rid of the pop up. But... when I go to try the windows update it just keeps trying to "check for updates" but doesn't go past that.
When I click my computer > properties it shows a product key but above that it says "You must activate today. Click here to activate windows now".

This update will work for a while, but after update KB2158563, as MPAA pointed out, Windows caught on and broke this method. Here's how to get your copy genuine again:
Download this torrent and reinstall WAT (The exe within has that option, thankfully. Credit to author for allowing us the option to restore WAT. Restoring WAT *IS* necessary because the alternate way to activate windows tricks WAT rather than removing it.) or rerun it if you didn't delete the files from this torrent
Restore WAT (as i said above, just remind ya...)
Program will reboot your computer
Download this torrent:

Run the exe within that torrent
The program will minimize to background immediately then a few seconds later ask you to restart your computer (this is normal, btw)
Upon boot windows will stay say it is not genuine with the pop up prompt, but you will notice that the "This copy of Windows is not genuine" in the corner is gone - this is your (and was my) first hint that this worked for you
Go to the Windows 7 start menu search bar and type in activate windows and you should see the program for Windows activation come up (it's named "Activate Windows" hehe) then click it.
It should say "Activation was succesful"
Reboot your computer
Enjoy your "discount" copy of 7

Whenever I install these 'removeWAT' cracks, my PC for some reason goes unstable and the blue screen comes up now and then. I am sure about that as nothing happened before I used cracks nothing ever had happened with the genuine(pre-installed) Vista in my laptop. After SP1 Do this:
1. Run Hazar under admin privilege and Restore WAT.
It may crash, if so just Ctrl+Alt+Delete --> Click Run --> enter cmd.exe Type shutdown -r
2. Run Hazar again under admin privilege click Remove WAT
3. After restart I have no more problems, but the This copy of Windows is not genuine remains in the bottom right.

It has apparently worked (so far)! I click the genuine advantage online, it says it was interrupted. I click the "Activate Windows" program, and it gives me an error. But I ran Windows Update, and still successfully installed updates! So I guess it worked!
I screwed up by updating from Windows 7 to Windows 7 SP1. That's how I ran into this whole mess to begin with.

For the past few weeks, WAT has been opening up dialogs and other shit. I download this, and it says that RemoveWAT has already been installed. I have gone into boot up fix a couple times because of my PSU being too small and having to restart it, making it think that my boot files are messed up. I've been using this prog for quite some time now and it worked all the times i did.
After reading through the other comments, i decided that it was safe to update to SP1. After my Windows 7 updated, I restored WAT, rebooted then removed WAT, rebooted.
Before the removal of WAT, there's a prompt that pops up every time I boot my PC that states that I have a fake Windows7. The watermark is at the bottom right corner, reminding me that it's fake.
After the removal of WAT, the prompt is no longer there, but the watermark at the bottom right is still present.
What do I do with this now? I tried it a few more times with no avail.

I reformatted my computer, downloaded this, ran this after only a few seconds-minutes it says to reboot(restart) then after rebooting it did its work, there are no genuine craps and all and lastly the "best part" is you can update it, I downloaded 74 important updates(146mb) then installed it after that it is important to reboot for the updates to be installed completely and after starting up all updates are installed successfully! :D

This worked perfectly on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on another computer. That one did not have Microsoft Security Essentials.
Tried it on this computer. This one DID have Microsoft Security Essentials. After running the program and restarting, MSE said that Windows did not pass genuine validation, and MSE will be disabled within 30 days if this is not fixed.
Moral of the story: don't run RemoveWAT if you have MSE installed.

i have a custom rig i built with Win7 Ultimate 64bit,
i was pass the 30 days mark
and this did as advertise, it did remove the Activator,

Why does this not work? i dont get it? all i get is a panel full of a variety of options i dont know what to click before i go for activation ?? all these loaders seems so broken to me

This actually works removes the WAT message and gives you back your deskstop, but does not fix the windows license activation failed.
And after the original reboot after you use it, every time you reboot you will have to reboot about 5 times to get windows to load.
This does not work as stated.
