You could try the homebrew exploit to (Free Mc Boot - Also known as soft modding for ps2), if your ps2 system isn't hard modded with a chip or if Swap Magic isn't working as a last resort. There are ps2 emulators but its not 100% & the quality isn't as good as playing your game on your ps2 console. If your using swap magic and don't have a flip top, you'll need to first remove the front cover of the disc tray for use of the slide card. Free Mc Boot won't work on newer models of ps2 you'll have to use an older version the tutorial explains this. -- http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/ You will also need to patch the iso (the PS2 game) with ESR disc patcher GUI v0.24a if your using free mc boot with ESR Elf to boot your p2 copies or backups (No-swapping required for esr method). After patching burn the iso with Imgburn or Dvd Decrypter to respectable media then use the ESR through fmcb after you installed everything to boot your game. You will still need to use the proper media for the game to run or load properly regardless if your using fmcb, a modded ps2, or swap magic. Try Verbatim DVD+R (Booktype to DVD-ROM), or Taiyo Yuden, burn at 8x if its a 16x max. You really can't use Maxwell DVD+R for example or some other brand as it more than likely will not work. Note: If fmcb isn't working and your Ps2 isn't Modded, Try Swap Magic to load the game. Game Description: Step Into the mind of an assassin. This game and most ps2 games burned will really only function properly if you have a modded/chipped ps2 or swapmagic. Me I got lucky enough to find an older ps2 modified console that was up for auction on ebay (fat version-not slim).
You can try to find older or some slim versions on websites where you can buy a pre-modded console from them or send them yours and they can mod it for you for a price. But there getting harder to find I think because sony keeps coming out with newer versions or ps2 models which aren't combatible with these mod-chips, which makes sense on their part.
If you have a probably modded ps2 console
or swap magic, with the burner program dvd decrypter (I use version: 3.5.4.0), and use
high quality recording media... (I like verbatim lightscribe dvd-r x16 & burn at x8 half speed).
to burn the mds or iso ps2 games then you shouldn't have a problem.
Also read up on afterdawn forums on the net they have tons of useful information about this stuff.
I know on my console sometimes when I try to
burn a new game, I have to reset the ps2 3 times or until the blue light on disc try comes on 2 seconds after the green light pops on front of the console and it works fine, but thats just the way they modded it on mine I guess.
Anyhow hope this helped ya. I personally don't recommend an emulator for ps2 or xbox on pc because its crap.. even if you had a super computer its just not the same. Other emulators however work for snes, psx, and n64, blah blah...but thats beside the point here.

Im new to this ps2 torrent. i have a ps2 from united states the thin version and have it modified here in the philippines. installed a chip dunno whats the name of thats chip they installed on my ps2. the reason we modified the ps2 here in the philippines because the original ps2 games so freaking expensive it cause the same in US dollar if you convert the price of original ps2 games here in the philippines. in other words i modified my ps2 so i can buy pirated ps2 games here and i was able to play all the pirated ps2 games. yup whenever theres a new ps2 games release in the US, there will be a pirated version of that games here in the philippines. it only cost 1500 pesos for modifiying the ps2 unit. i have both the thicker ps2 and thinner ps2 modified. new ps2 game cost $50 the pirated games here in the philippines cost 70 pesos. thats like $1.50 if you convert it.

I would suggest reburning it again with a good disc like verbatim, and test it out, I pretested mine again (killer7) and everything seemed fine.

Could you run me threw a step by step how you burn your games to a DVD? the files you burn, the program you use to burn etc.

I don't know alot about soft modding but I have a modded chipped ps2 and this works, try swap magic if fmcb isn't working for this game.
Latest version of swap magic should run about any ps2 backup or copied game out there.
read the info provided here on how to use swap magic to run the ps2 game. Use Verbatim DVD-r
or Verbatim DVD+R (Booktype to dvd-rom) for dvd ps2 media or verbatim cd for ps2 cd games.
obiviously this isn't a cd game so use verbatim dvd.
Use dvd decrypter to burn with again use the link i provided to get the program.

For anyone looking for this now, this one didn't work for me. The end of the first chapter was bugged and didn't allow me to do something to finish it so I was stuck.
Downloaded a new iso from here and it works fine,
