Empires: Dawn of the Modern World is a history-based real-time strategy computer game developed by Stainless Steel Studios and released on October 21, 2003. Considered an unofficial sequel to Empire Earth, the game requires players to collect resources to build an empire, train military units, and conquer opposing civilizations. Based on a slightly compressed version of world history, Empires covers five eras, from the Medieval Age to World War II. The game features seven civilizations: England, the Franks, Korea and China are playable from the Medieval Age to the Imperial Age; the United States, Russia, Germany, France and the United Kingdom are playable in the World War I and World War II ages. The game attracted positive critical reaction. Instructions 1. Mount the 2 cd images using Daemon Tools (or any other emulation software) 2. Install the game, using the key from the keygen on cd1's Crack folder. 3. Copy the crack in the game folder 4. Play and enjoy!

Wow...garbage torrent. It has a trojan and if you get past that it doesn't work. Usually a crack can set off antivirus, but the trojan comes up on install. Don't download this one.

i mounted both disks using daemon tools. they worked fine and the installation worked fine. i mount the first disk and run the auto start and click play then it tells me that there is no disk. how do i fix this?

Right so i dled the torrent and i did pick up a trojan. but i got rid of it so its not a problem... but i converted the nrg files to iso and burnt the disc. whenever i insert the first disc and hit play on the auto run it tells me to insert disc one and restart teh app(its already installed). i tried making new discs n everything but i get the same msg. plz help

Iv'e downloaded the torrent. Then i mounted the first cd and started to install the game with a cd-key i found. Then it istall to the half and then they ask for cd2. How am i gonna do after that?

the installation gets to "please insert disc 2", and is then incapable of recognizing the second iso as being mounted... Do you know of anything else you did to get the second disc recognised on install?

@jesusham go to the location of the file where you placed the crack which should be the location you installed the game and make a shortcut to it on your desktop you should then be able to play

Hiya guys a little help would be appriciated.
Here's my problem: keygen works fine, and installation works fine, up until i have to reinsert disc one after disc two has installed a data file. it tells me that there's an I/O error, and then a corrupted file.
any ideas how to sort this?

Kso I reinstalled everything... now it will load but half way to the menu it will say "Empires-DMW has stopped working." I've tried all the compatibility settings, no dice. Any idea what might be causing this?

Ok, figured it out. EDMW isn't compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. The only way to play it is in "XP Mode" which you can get here:

For those who encountered the corrupt cabinet error after inserting disk 2 image, here is how i solved it: (I run windows 7 64-bit)
1. exit the installer with ctrl-alt-del so the installation won't get rolled back, meaning you should find the partially installed game files in the folder you specified to install
2. now open disk2 image, under /data you should find data1.cab, data2.cab and data3.cab
3. use 7zip or other tools to extract data1.cab, you should get a file called data.ssa which is about 460MB. Put it under /data and replace the one there. (The partially installed one is only a few hundred bytes smaller than the extracted one.)
4. Use the no-cd crack provided in the torrent
5. Enjoy the game!
PS:
**VERY IMPORTANT**
if you have a mounting software that cannot read nrg, get one that can.
Do not convert the nrg to iso because that's what i did originally with powerISO and the data.ssa cannot be extracted properly

I JUST FIGURE OUT ABOUT ERROR I/Q WHEN INSTALLING THIS GAME WHEN INSERT DISK 2.
AS YOU SEE THE FILE IS NRG AND NOT ISO.
POWER ISO IS GOOD WITH ISO AND BIN FILE BUT WHEN IT COME TO ANOTHER TYPE OF IMAGE FILE (MDS,NRG,etc), DAEMON TOOL IS THE BEST CHOICE. DAEMON TOOL IS UNIVERSAL AND BETTER THAN POWERISO.
THE ERROR I/Q WILLNOT HAPPEN WHEN YOU INSTALL NORMALLY. JUST COPY CRACK AND PLAY NORMALLY.
AND ABOUT UNINSTALLING THE GAME, FOR SOME REASON THE "INSTALL.LOG" THING CAN ONLY BE UNINSTALLED THROUGH DAEMON TOOL.
MOUNT AND START UNINSTALL FROM DAEMON TOOL......
DONE !

Only issue most of us seem to be having is it not working on Windows 7 operating systems. I cannot get the Windows Virtual thing working (what some commented to do). The Windows compatibility settings don't seem to work for this game for some reason. So what do we do? Has anyone figured out how to get this game working on Windows 7 yet or not?

@hokrux Wish I had your luck. My Windows 8 won't run this at all. It will start, but crash before anything loads, telling me that Empires_DMW.exe has stopped working. I've tried to patch it, but every attempt to reach http://www.empiresrts.com/ is met with an immediate redirect. I have no idea what to do.
