Plot: Starring Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer, Zatoichi 2003) and Masatoshi Nagase (Pistol Opera, Suicide Club) this super-charged swordplay fantasy, puts the spin on one of Japan's most popular feudal legends: the battle at Kyoto's Gojoe Bridge.
Though its multitude of characters and warring factions might make Gojoe somewhat confusing to some Western eyes, the basic storyline is simple: warriors of the Heike clan get their heads chopped off by an invisible force at Gojoe bridge. Benkei, a former Buddhist monk plagued by the demons of his own past, sets out to destroy the evil force that lurks at Gojoe, aided by his graverobbing sidekick Tetsukichi. They soon discover that the perpetrator is in fact a young warrior, a former Heike lord named Shanao, out for revenge against his own clan which ordered the death of his family.

The alternate Japanese 2 Channel and English overdub audio tracks have been removed to favor maximum image quality, not to mention both alt. tracks suck rocks. Removable English subs are well written overall and though there are occasional slips in timing but it doesn't affect viewing experience.

I have just realized that the search for a trailer mentioned above might be in regards to the DVD Extras so...
The DVD Extras torrent was pulled for myriad reasons but will be replaced with an AVI rip of all bonus features to make download time more tolerable ASAP!

is this a fake file?i found out that unlike other incomplete iso-files it is not possible to open/mount this one.
by trying to open/mount this (incomplete) iso-file my machine was very near crash.

I risked to burn this file as it is now (ONLY 99.4 % COMPLETE).It played, but it had 2 small jumps and 3 "artefacted" sequences (after chapter 20).
The 5.1 sound of this movie is the best I ever heard since Star Wars. Amazing! Incredible! Invite your neighbours!
Does anyone have the score? It is great too, but EUR41 at Amazon are a little, little bit too expensive ...
