Thanks, but WDTV units don't pass AAC as multi-channel audio. Has to be DD/AC3 or DTS to allow decoding.

^ Sorry, my bad. Didn't notice this was an MP4. WDTVs downmix MP4 audio to 2-channel stereo. AAC isn't a part of the issue in this case.
