I use Media Player Classic (build 1.3.1249). Just open the MKV file and right-click somewhere in the picture. Go to Audio and select the English file. It uses the seperate file as audio file.

You should already link the english files so we don't have to do that...I deleted it but it was amazing quality and wish i didn't have to delete it...:(

Main file which is a mkv has the Russian language on it. The ac3 file which is the English audio can be selected on most pc media players but if you plan to watch this on a bigscreen tv forget about it. I have tried this file on three different new smart tv brands, Sony, Samsung and LG. None of their built-in media players could find and play the separate ac3 file. Very disappointing. Great quality video but English will not work on tvs.

@greend20. You have to mkvmerge both the files into one to get the english audio to play on a smart tv. I have done this many times to grt over this issue.
I have d/l a movie from one source and the audio from another and then merged them together to get the audio file i prefered to play.
