Does anyone know what happened to Iwakiyama?
During the half-time show (?????) around 33:31. I've never seen an injury like that, I don't think it resulted from the match either.

That was actually in day 4 (this is day 3 torrent) but the only other time I seen a leg snap like that without being broken was during a MMA fight where the guy put to much pressure on a bad leg and ended up popping his tendon.

Ironically he was fighting Futeno at the time. Both times I went to see sumo (May 2007, Day 7 and November 2008, Day 1), Futeno sustained injuries to his head from head-butting and was bleeding from the head.
They should be more careful, this isn't football. :-)

Asashoryu came back with a vengeance against Takekaze, that elbow was nasty (gave him a bloody nose). Reminded me of the elbow he gave Kotooshu at the tachiai that almost knocked him out. This Basho has been pretty bloody, 2 people have already bled and it's still the first week!
