This movie is not a shot for shot remake of the original. I mean there are added characters and people die in different ways than the original...this movie is completely different from the original and IMO is much MUCH better than the original

The biggest thing I like about this version is how bad ass the female lead is. It seems like a reoccuring theme to have weak females in most horror films and especially zombie movies. If the zombie takeover ever happens, I'd be that guy to kick that screaming, crying weak female down for bait so the rest of us could get away.
