Som eventually became an important teacher, who promoted traditional Thai music at a time when the traditional culture of developing Thailand was under threat of being subsumed by the influx of European influences.

I used a free-ware program called Time Adjuster. I downloaded the subtitle from allsubs.org and used the functions split, syncronize and convert in Time Adjuster. Just google it and you'll find the program.
