The player controls Isaac Clarke from a third-person point of view, looking over the character's right shoulder. The game features no HUD elements, relying on holograms projected from the player character and his weapons to show information such as messages and ammunition count, respectively. Player health and stasis is shown by a visual indicators located on Isaac's back. Isaac must fight an alien organism that infects and takes control of human corpses, turning them into "Necromorphs", mutating their bodies. Necromorphs must be dismembered as the alien organism controls host bodies via tentacles extending into their limbs. Other, larger types of Necromorphs that cannot be dismembered will often have yellow, glowing pustules, indicating weak spots. Occasionally, when an enemy gets close enough to Isaac, they will grab a hold of him, and the player must repeatedly press a key to fend off the enemy, with failure to do so leading to death of the player character. The player acquires two modules; a "stasis" module, allowing the player to slow down enemies or objects, allowing for otherwise insurmountable moving obstacles such as active heavy machinery to be slowed down, allowing Isaac to safely pass, and the "kinesis" module, which allows Isaac to manipulate objects, machinery, and panels obscuring important circuitry, which Isaac can then tamper with in order to open doors and gain access to otherwise restricted areas. The player may upgrade their weapons and armor at work benches, using nodes found throughout the game. In-game stores may be accessed where the player may buy and sell various items and attain new weapons and suits. The player encounters zero-G environments, where Isaac is capable of maneuvering with thrusters attached to his suit. Dead Space 2 offers five difficulty levels; Casual, Normal, Survivalist, Zealot and Hardcore. Hardcore mode is unlocked once the game has been completed. Hardcore mode can only be played from a fresh start and the player is limited to three saves in the entire game, with ammunition, health, supplies and credits being very difficult to find, and enemies are very challenging. However, before he can remove the straitjacket, Franco is killed and transformed into a necromorph, leaving Isaac to escape on his own. He is later contacted by a woman named Daina, who guides him to her location. He is also contacted by another patient, Nolan Stross, claiming he and Isaac can destroy the Marker. Ignoring Stross, Isaac fights his way across the city, making his way to Daina. Upon his arrival, two guards seize Isaac as Daina reveals that she is a Unitologist sent to “recover” Isaac, claiming that he is responsible for building the Marker that is causing the current infestation and that they need him to build more. As they are about to leave, Titan Security officers gun down Daina and her associates, allowing Isaac to escape. Stross contacts Isaac again and he reluctantly decides to trust Stross, as his only mission now is to destroy the Marker. Stross tells Isaac that the Marker is located in the Government Sector under lockdown. As he makes his way there, Isaac comes across another survivor, Ellie Langford, a CEC officer who eventually joins their mission, deciding that she needs their help to survive. As they progress through the Sprawl, the station’s administrator, Hans Tiedemann, throws several obstacles in their way to stop them from getting to the Marker. Later, Stross’ dementia gets the better of him and he attacks Ellie, gouging out one of her eyes. She survives, and later Isaac is forced to kill Stross in self-defense. As Isaac fights his way to the Marker, his visions of Nicole become more vivid as she tries to deter him from his task. Eventually he comes to accept that he cannot run away anymore, and that his destiny is to sacrifice his life to stop the Marker, causing the Nicole visions to become friendly. Upon reaching the Government sector, Isaac sends Ellie away alone on a gunship. Once inside, he releases the doors holding back the necromorphs trying to get to the Marker, who overwhelm Tiedemann’s men. Issac eventually comes upon the Marker, which is surrounded by necromorphs. As Isaac looks on, the Marker begins Convergence, an event foretold by the Unitologists. With the vision of Nicole guiding him, he comes upon a machine that unlocks the blocked Marker-infected parts of his mind, which Nicole claims will help him. He then fights his way to the Marker, where he encounters Tiedemann. Tiedemann wounds Isaac but he fights back, turning Tiedemann’s gun on him, and killing him. Isaac then approaches the Marker when the Nicole vision suddenly pulls Isaac into his own mind. There, Isaac encounters the parts affected by the Marker and the Nicole vision, who then reveals that the only way to make the Marker "whole" is to absorb the body and mind of the one who created it. After a lengthy battle, Isaac is able to destroy the Nicole vision and rid all traces of the Marker's influence from his mind, destroying the Marker in the process. Upon exiting his mind, Isaac slumps to the ground, ready to accept his fate as the Marker is destroyed. Suddenly, Isaac receives a call from Ellie, who crashes the gunship through the ceiling. As the Sprawl is being destroyed, Isaac makes his way onto the gunship and they escape. After the credits, an audio transmission is heard between two people, an unknown subordinate and his ranking superior (known only as "the Overseer" from one of the text logs that can be collected during the course of the game). The subordinate relays that Titan Station (which was Marker Site 12) and the Marker has been destroyed. @zipadedoda READ THE INSTALLATION.txt, and yes you have to reinstall. a readme is included for a reason, it's there for people to read. if you'd have read and followed it, the game would be fully in english.
i'll post it here too, there is 1 screen on the installation that is in a different language (russian), on the screen there are 2 options to mark, 1 is already mark which is the top option (russian), the bottom option is english. mark the bottom and BAM, you got english.
but bro, for future reference be sure to read the files included in the torrents
TO ANYONE ELSE, if you like to cheat or need a trainer to get through the game, they do work on this version, just snag any english trainer, i have tested all the ones out that i could find, including the one up here on tpb as a torrent, they all worked.

I got it working in english like this: first install in russia then run the game go back to windows re-install the game in english, then it should work fine, in my case there wasn´t any strange language when I strated installing there was just reading install in english or russia, but as the guys have sed allready you have to first do it in russia it just takes wery long time to unpack the files but it´s worth it

@wisdom90 everything works, including audio and videos. no missing voices, not downgraded videos. everything is there and all errors fixed besides personal pc errors that some people may get or not, but they'd get those even if they bought the game cuz it has to do with their pc.
@cursed_worm if you really are getting that problem, then im pretty sure you're the only one. but i highly doubt you are getting any such error

I've installed the game three times. Ran the setup, only had four files inside the installed map : DS2DAT0 & DS2DAT1 / DS2.abx DS2.srep. No EXE's. I extracted the crack, moved the exe to the insalled map, clicked it. The game starts up, I only get a black screen. When I minimize , and right click undo the link, it says : want to save your game progress?

Great share bro, thank you very much. This DL works perfectly, all you have to do is follow the instructions. I'm halfway thru playing the game-no crashes-works beautiful, thanks again. Besides the various txt files there is a game folder, click twice on it, the crack is in a 7zip file, open it with 7z app. Click twice on the setup file and install game, copy crack to where you installed game and overwrite the existing exe file. Follow the info and it will work. If you don't follow the instructions you may be playing in Russian language.

I just finished donwloading ur torrent and tried to install it, but there is problem during the installation process. At 84% I get an error message "ISDone.dll", which contains weird symbols/letters:

Your frames will go down the drain with it on. Running a AMD Phenomx6 1055t, gtx460, 6gb ddr3 with all settings on max at like 150 fps. This game is unreal and is FOR SURE worth the download. Never mind, got off my ass and found the fix myself. If anyone else gets this "Stross glitch"do the following:
Set your screen resolution to the lowest possible and turn the Vsync off. I did this and killed Stross the first try, no problem. After reset your resolution to what it was and turn Vsync back on.

Absolutely *perfect* torrent. Worked throughtout the game perfect except for couple of gameplay hiccups where sometimes certain objects are invisible and you cannot continue the game.
However, this only occured once or twice during the game and can be easily fixed by loading you last save game.

I also got some error about DLL's and stuff @ 10% of installation. I ran check on uTorrent and it revealed that 0.1% of setup-a.bin was missing for some reason. Now I completed the missing part and retried, but now I got different error msg @ 24%. Working on that one, will report how it went.

I tried both languages install none work same error.
Every time the installer is run once it uttorent then shows the torrent as missing 16mb of data if you force a recheck but after redownloading same thing happens installer is corrupting the data it's self what a waste of download and time
Stick with Dead Space 2 FLT at least you know 100% chance it will work, with this you can try your luck but better of spending the extra 5gb download on FLT as I now will

Maybe the error is nothing to do with this upload.
if I recheck the file without even touching any of the data after I have already rechecked and redownload a small amount of the file utorent redownloads another random amount of data again and again every time a recheck is done it says a completely random amount of data is missing or corrupt, have had a similiar problem before with a torrent where a certain file never finished.
Should I delete the torrent and redownload the entire thing again? tried searching Google and could not find any info on if it is the torrent or uttorent being a pain.

OK finished the game at last today. Took me a lot of time :) the game is huge. I'd rate it 7.5-8 out of 10. Not once did it scare me. My heart beat increased a bit though in final boss fight which was fantastic. But it was thoroughly entertaining.
btw the game is not in Russian, it doesn't crashed at all at stage 7 or anywhere else. Who ever is saying this might have problems with their computers, idk. So please guys don't say this torrent is crap because its not.

For those that are complaining about low Download Speeds...go get Cheat Engine: After you install it (It is free) click the flashing computer symbol open (*yourtorrentmediumclientyouuse*) I.E. Bittorent or Utorrent. Then click enable speed hack. Set the speed to 0.1. (You may have to pause the download then click play, but most of the time it speeds up by itself.) In chapter 11 when confronted by stross, the game will not register when you mash E. I found a bug fix that said to change the resoluton to 800x600. I tried this and it worked. So if you run into this glitch, try that fix :)

Dude this game works great, however the spinning camera issue is true. Its somewhat like a bug if you have USB peripheral (such as gamepad or even keyboard, google it) and to solve it you need to disable it via Device Manager (which is pointless, since the main point is how to make it work without the camera spinning), or editing the config file in the installation folder, which your installation does not provide. So the question is, is there any way to change the config here? If not then I'd have to find other with full installation folder :( Btw guys this torrent does really work, if you plan to use keyboard + mouse to play it.

Ok, I feel ppl mostly comment when they are noobs or something goes wrong and they need help, which sometimes makes the torrent itself look bad.
This is the best DS2 torrent in TPB imo.
Small file size.
Installation is as easy as it gets.
Game is in ENGLISH. You can also install in russian though (which isnt a bad thing if youre russian, right?)
Just READ the INSTALLATION FILE and dont forget to CRACK the game.
Playing on my Asus n61jv Laptop on max settings, runs smooth.
Havent reached the chapter 7 yet so cant comment on the freeze, but Im pretty sure that if you cracked the game it wont be there.

This was super easy to download and install. The instructions on how to install it were easy to follow and spot on. The game worked perfectly at start up. But this DID CRASH for me at the door in chapter 7. So far, no "fix" has been able to resolve the issue. It still crashes no matter what I do. Any ideas?

I am not sure what happened, but I finally got it working. I re-extracted the crack provided and then recopied it to games directory. Finally past the door!!! Spent about an hour trying to figure this out.

@FuCtUpPuNk i ve installed it by following the instructions and i ve cracked it but i cant seem to start the game.a black screen comes out like a game about to start then it crashes back to desktop. i ve got a good laptop and the latest directx and C++.can you or anyone help me.
ps:the crack should contain just 1 file ,right? deadspace2.exe 61mb

I'm not sure what I might have done, whether it's something with my computer that's causing a problem with the game, but right as I open the door to the Solar Arrays in Chapter 7, it crashes. This doesn't annoy as much because I've always had great success with this torrent. It has never done this before. WOndering if anyone else has had the same issue.

Downloaded this today, and i've seen enough users who said that this game crashes in chapter 7 ..Let me confirm that there are NO MORE game crashes in this one as the uploader said(Pass through the door smoothly without any crashes or what so ever)..but if crashes still exist, download the fix through google or
Game runs on my windows 8 i7 smoothly..

By the way, whats bad about this, is that this game is have not been patched about the glitch where after you finish the game, the elite suits wont show where it should be in the newgame+.. well if you wanted the patch so badly, then buy the game, or download a modded game save ..
