Debian 5x X64 ONLY AMD & Intel EMT64 single/multicore ONLY

Absolutely excellent Linux version for the PC, the 64 bit Debian 5.x is ultra fast, easy to use, and you can even manage to sluff your way to root after some digging!:) Seriously though, with the the best software installation systems around (synaptic gui front-end for apt and apt-get backend), support for almost every single PC driver in existence, this Linux distribution can be easily installed on any single or multi-core 64 bit machine, right on up to i7!!! Not only that, but you can actually recompile your kernel, so that ONLY the drivers and modules install for your machine. Recompiling the kernel (with GUI tools no less!) also allows the user to fine-tune the kernel directly, enabling you to tweak specific CPU brand flags, so that your machine runs at it's absolutel best. Gotta get it! This is the Install DVD. There are a few DVD's, but this is the only one you really need for a complete installation of the base distro, including all desktops and most software. The other DVD's contain other software. The DVD's numbered 2 thru x, are in order of popularity. Enjoy. ;D
