Hi sorry to be a pain, is there any chance you could tell me how to apply a patch? i dont have a clue what one is and how to do it but ive downloaded the file and i also downloaded Daemon tools emulator.

You need to copy the patches into the folder where the game is installed.
I never ever got this game to run under XP.
The way I played it is using VMWare and a installation of win 98.
As I said, its alot of messing around to get the game working.. but it is worth it.
If you need any more help do ask. If you get it working under XP let me know!

I did some research and found out how to run the game in WinXP.
1: Install game.
2: Unpack the XP patch from \_Patches and move the gpwxp.exe into the game folder. (don't bother with the crack, it doesn't work)
3: Set the colour depth to 16 bit on your desktop.
4: Run gpwxp.exe.
5: Start a new game and SAVE IT. If you don't save, it will ask for cd next time.
6: Enjoy. :)

I have done the patch...
but when i want to start playing, it says
"please ensure the Grand Prix World CD is in the drive"
why? can someone explain to me what should i do...thank you
