Even Though it didn't top the charts, There was a music video made that got airplay On MTV. Breaking the Chains is the debut studio album by heavy metal band Dokken, released in 1983. Dokken finally released their first full-length album when the L.A. glam metal scene was just starting to break mainstream, although the group had been active since the late 1970s along with such bands as Van Halen. The album never broke the Top 100 on the Billboard 200, but has sold steadily over the years and is likely eligible for Gold status (selling over 500,000 copies) in the US, although the band has never been awarded a Gold record for this release.
