Thanx a lot! I just lacked Electric Shades to complete the March Violets' library. My faves are Deep, Turn to the Sky etc and what a coincidence, I just checked Red Guitars a couple of days ago. Not familiar with Party Day and Pink Industry. Will find out soon eheheheh
Still reviewing the bands U posted that I didn't know, I like the following:
The Tenants - I Love Romance (U have actually uploaded 3 songs)
Breeding Ground - Reunion (2 songs uploaded)
Pink Turns Blue - Can't be Love
Boys Next Door - Stop Watch Killer
The Factory - Hold Out
Ce Soir - Femme Fatale
Maybe U could consider those bands for future uploadings, songs or albums. Thanx!!!

80zforever, thanks very much for the Red Guitars! Great album with National Ave being a fav from 1986. I used to even have the 12" once upon a time. I'm probabaly pushing it but you wouldn't have the album "Song" - by It's Immaterial, I used to have the cd, had to order it in but it got stolen quite a number of years ago. Also big thanks found a couple of Car Crash Set songs amongst all your postings, they were the Kiwi (NZ) answer to New Order!! I think they even recorded an EP with Jon Fryer and released it on the 4AD label in the 80's but never made it on the world stage unfortunately.Cheers once again!!

I love it when you post bands I have never heard of. It makes me feel like I did as a teenager hearinging stuff for the first time on the radio or playing in a record store. Oh man I miss that going to Midland Records and flipping through the albums, checking out the cover art. Thanks again for your efforts in sharing and reviving this era of music.

Hi 80z forever, you don't happen to have any Plan9 albums except Dealing With the Dead,do you? Promise to seed it for many an age if you do.Great uploads regardless.many thanx!

fanciz, The Tenants is already posted here:
http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4315584/4_Rare_80s_Albums_[Part_12]

Also Breeding Ground, Pink Turns Blue and Boys Next Door all have full lps, but The Factory and Ce Soir don't.
pafbrown, I have that Immaterial record, really a cool one. You're giving me brilliant ideas as to what to post! It's weird when someone remembers Car Crash Set! Actually those songs come from an 8-track LP called "No Accident" which was released in 1984. I do hope it gets a CD release.
and watty64, I have two of Plan 9 records on my HD, Frustration [1982] and Keep Your Cool & Read The Rules [1985]. I will post them seperately as I don't think anyone else apart from me and you knows these guys lol make sure to check my torrents tomorrow.
and finally erikphnx, believe me, there was so much good stuff in early 80s that went obscure and underground, that it's mind blowing. I think I have shared only 30% of these records. Given the state of today's mainstream music, finding stuff like these is a different experience. cheers

Hats off to the man of the hour, 80zforever! U never seize to amaze! I've been looking everywhere for Party Day! I have not heard Red Guitars nor Pink Industry before; Can't wait to listen! Nice touch w/ the March Violets too. Thanks again, Cheers!

Estlin (2009-01-25)

I am delighted to see Electric Shades. Thanks! I was going to upload it myself, but imagine that the quality of yours is much better than mine.

fanciz (2009-01-25)

Actually I had downloaded The Tenants but I forgot to play it so it was not acknowledged by my player. ahahah
Yeps, The Factory has a limited output. They do have a few more songs like Burn me Up, The Outcast, Going Home, Shores of Japan.
Breeding Grounds, the album is Tales of Adventure and a sort of Best Of: Revisited.
Pink Turns Blue, the band reunited about 4 years ago. The song Can't be Love appears in their album Ghost but I would be interested to listen to their back catalogue.
Boys Next Door has a few 12" I Will Follow You & Lady of The Night. Are they any good?
Ce soir . It seems that they released 7" You Took Me By Surprise & Lost In Dreamin'
Anyway, thanks again, I like Party Day & Pink Industry.

OMG! I am absolutely gob-smacked by the sheer volume, quality and taste of your musical inclinations. You are truly a gem, 80zforever!
For all the other readers and seeders, take a page from this guy...there is a lot of work and heart that goes into these UL's, so you know it has to be a labor of love. Appreciate that...and SEED!
Seriously, 80zforever...what you have done with these postings is a service to those of us who might never have been able to find these great songs on our own, a wonderful tribute to the musicians of the 80's (their music lives on) and is an excellent lesson in sharing.
If you ever have a moment to ponder, "Does my life have meaning? Have I made a difference in someone else's life?" Dude, take it from me...it does, and you have. Thanx...1 million X 1 million

 80zforever (2009-01-27)

Jinx_in_Otown, many thanks for your great message and appreciation. What you have pointed at was my motive to upload and share these records. I think internet is the best tool, ever. Many bands that fell into the cracks of lousy record companies or their music was shelved just because they did not fit in the category of mainstream radio are getting the credits which has been due for almost 3 decades. Again thanks for your very cool message. Cheers

raniajoy (2009-01-29)

Hey there dear 80zforever....
your stuff is great..
I'm looking for this band called "Ritual"..i once had a song of them called "Brides".
You think you can help me find something?
thanx

 80zforever (2009-01-29)

Ranijoy, that song is on Ritual's "Kangaroo Court" (12") single. I think there were three songs in total on this single. They never released a full lp. If I can find it on my HD, will post it for you. cheers

cyberfling (2009-07-30)
