audio is overloaded: there's noticable clipping when i turn the sound all the way up in the player. it's fine if i keep the player volume down, but crank up my speakers. that means the audio is too loud; to fix, lower the amplitude (or normalize down) in a WAV editor before encoding/muxing audio+video.
on the plus side, other than the clipping there are no audio defects, and video seems perfect. only tr3plej's release has better audio (and apparently he only released the first act). there is a bar of distortion on the bottom edge of the video but this is in nearly every version i've seen -- only one release cropped this out.
lody, if you converted this, what did you use? software + settings? btw: good job.

i used magic video converter with xvid 4200kbps and mp3 128kbps
the bar is a defect of ripping from hulu, theres no workable way that has been found to my knowledge around that.
for the audio: its the same level as the source, since i didn't have the time to fix it, and i wanted to release asap. though, due to the easy fix, im sure being able to have the video and adjust a little is tolerable vs. not having a workable release at all :-)

ok, i've looked into it a little more. audio clipping only occurs with recent VLC; directshow-based players (eg MediaPlayerClassic) are unaffected (ie you can set their volume controls to max and hear no defects). however, the latest xvid directshow filter doesn't like your video stream -- can't tell why, but it's either a bug in the codec or your encoder may be munging a flag somewhere. it does play fine with latest ffdshow and divx 6.8.3.

Holy shit, is anyone else getting flooded with dozens of peers with bad data? It took me several hours to get the last 1% because I was pulling down 3mbit/sec of bogus data and my client was picking up new poisoners faster than I could ban them. Now that I'm seeding the entire thing, not a single person is connecting to me.
Who's responsible for this? At first I found it staggering, because this is available for free on Hulu. But then I followed the money trail. Apple is selling this in iTunes, there's a DVD coming out, and of course Hulu makes money off of ads.
I would like to know which of these assholes are responsible for paying MediaDefender to poison this torrent. I was actually going to buy it on DVD, but I'm prepared to not bother if the distributor is responsible for this.

I'm kind of shocked(honored?) that someone would bother to poison my torrent.
I recommend getting peerguardian, a free program that blocks problematic IPs, such as those of MediaDefender. This will result in much cleaner and possibly faster downloads by blocking poisoners and others.
Please do purchase the DVD when it comes out, because after all, this is a great piece of entertainment, and why should the cast and crew suffer because their company makes bad choices.

Several comments to the torrent:
For one, I really recommend using Peer Guardian or something similar while downloading, because without it I had speed >300kb/s and time remaining >7h. So yeah, the torrent is probably poisoned.
Secondly, the quality is reasonable, the movie itself great, but the format - well, nothing except VLC player could play this (VLC FTW), and that's a shame, because I was unable to add subtitles.
