Okay for all you people who say this isn't the uncut version i can assure you is is the uncut version here is a difference in the dvd version: FROM IMDB
SHE GETS thrown out of the room and her buttocks are shown for an extended period of time. Her pubic region is in shadow or off-screen for a majority of this scene so no explicit parts of her anatomy can be seen.
THIS IS NOT SEEN IN THE DVD VERSION

Thanks for the upload and, moreso, thanks for the info about the cut. I wasn't aware that the DVD had been cut.
I have a bootleg VHS circa 1980s somewhere and the scene you described is certainly familiar although I must say I didn't find its absence conspicuous when I had re-watched the film on DVD.
Anyone know where to get an uncut copy of Piccole Labbra/ Little Lips?
I have an R2 DVD of the film but it quite brutally cut and the transfer is also quite poor.
I'd really like to see that film restored!

I don't get it.
I watched "Pretty Baby (1978)[DVDRip][big_dad_e]" and this VHS version. The ONLY difference is that DVDRip is reframed/zoomed. Ohh, and the VHS version has a much lower quality.
According to sbbfc.co.uk:
"Accordingly, a cuts list was sent to the film's distributor on 16 August 1978. The cuts were as follows:
(1) Reel 4 - In the scene in the bathroom, delete moment where Madame pulls away towel which Violet is holding in front of her for modesty, and cut straight to close-ups of Violet and man looking at each other.
(2) Reel 5 - Delete full-length nude shot of Violet posing for Bellocq on the sofa."
Both versions (this VHS and "DVDRip big_dad_e") have these scenes. Nothing was cut or deleted. I compared it.
So... I'm confused.
Or I missed something.

I can confirm that Pretty Baby (1978)[DVDRip][big_dad_e] is identical, but with MUCH better quality. The only difference is that the top and bottom is slightly cut in the DVDRip, but it makes no difference. So I would recommend the DVDRip instead, it will be a much better experience, trust me.

Like I said on the DVD having both versions is the way to go because you do miss a few shots that would otherwise have been filled in with the DVD version.

No audio or video, but it seems to be running or advancing as the time counts down. I'm using DivX which seem to work fine for other movies with the Matrovski file extension format, like The Blue Lagoon. Anyone else having troubles with this torrent?

there are numerous scenes that were cut from this move in order to comply with laws, critic, and parents.
such as the couch full length nude photo, there was an entire scene that began with susan surandon laying nude on the couch then after a few shots Bellocq notices violet (Brooke Shields) in the bath tub and brings her in to lay with susan on the couch. the scene ends after a few shots of vilot laying in front of her mom, laying feet to feet propped on the arms of the couch, then head to head.
2nd - was the full uncut scene of violet's first time which shows the man disrobing as he is walking towards her as she continues saying please till he grabs her dress ripping the front and throwing her onto the bed.
plus more scenes but I can't remember them
but the vhs uncut versions has the audio of violets first time only turned down low

I second and reconfirm this video is completely the same as the dvdrip but this is much worse quality.
And as for the so called "extras scenes" and "censorship" that viper and jmanwf, it's all bull. I checked. No difference

Look the same if not worse than the DVD version to me. I think the uploader is projecting a bit on it's uniqueness. what I've heard is that it's only in the European or was it simply French release did it have the less censored, full frontals or extended nudity on Shields, not merely a VHS over DVD release? But I do know that they cut out at least one poignant scene from Privates On Parade where the men in the audience had become transfixed on the how beautiful the young solider looked made up like a young woman when they say him preform on stage. God that pissed me off because it was such a remarkable scene that was so pivotal to the movie. Fuck American provincialism and right-wing lies!
