Melina Kana - Melina Kana (Greek Music) @flac

Melina Kana was born in Thessaloniki and studied philology at the Aristotle University. While she was a student she started singing in small venues. In the following years she appears in many concerts of various remarkable Greek artists, such as Nikos Portokaloglou, Sokratis Malamas, Haris Alexiou, Nikos Xidakis. In 1991 she releases her first album “Mistika Tragoudia” and in 1992 she releases her second one with the title “Tis Meras kai tis Nihtas”. In 2000 the German record company NETWORK releases the album “Melina kana Portrait” and Melina Kana continues to appear in Greek and European venues and festivals while in 2001 – 2002 she appears for the first time in the prestigious WOMAD Festival. 01.
