Label : Island Nationalité : Irlandaise Naissance : 1982 Age : 25 ans Biographie de The Pogues A mi-chemin entre les Clash et les Corrs, The Pogues est un bien étrange combo musical. Crée à Londres en 1982, ce collectif de punks irlandais s?amuse en effet à malmener les chants folkloriques de leur pays d?origine sous le nom de Pogue Mahone. Appellation de très bon goût signifiant «embrasse mon cul»? Muni d?un accordéon et d?un flageolet - sorte de petite flûte stridente -, le trio formé par Shane MacGowan, Jim Fearnley et Spider Stacy mendie en jurant sur la foule. Une irrévérence qui va séduire leur trois futures camarades : Jeremy Finer au banjo, le guitariste Cait O?Riordan puis Andrew Ranken aux percussions. La fanfare devient un véritable show urbain qui, un jour, interloque Joe Strummer, le charismatique leader des Clash. En 84, voici donc notre joyeuse troupe invitée à assurer la première partie de la légende punk. Aaargh, I noticed the previous comment too late! In fact, there is much more missing than that; the last of most of the albums is missing e.g. there are 7 songs missing from Hells ditch. Pogue Mahone is the only full album.
