I have a mac and it told me that I needed to update my version in order for the patch to work. Is there a different method for macs. I actually couldn't even find a "download" folder for the mac.

If you have no downloads folder simply create one, place this in it, and double-click on it to install it. Worked for me.

To all. If you don't have download folder - don't worry, just double click the file & it WILL install all on it's own.
Well it did for me. then any other custom content you get should be put in same folder & install then with game launcher. Job done!

I can't get this to work, I created a "download" folder, and put the files in it. I tried to run riverview.sims3pack but I'm prompted to choose a program to open the file with. What should I do? (Sorry if this is a stupid question.)

I've got the same problem. I think you need to sign up at the sims website and give a serial number, which you probably dont have ;)
Is there any way to get this installed without having to go online?

I downloaded it and i put it in my downloads folder and tried installing it through the launcher. It's in the Downloads part of the launcher and I clicked to install it, and it says it's done but it doesn't show up when I open the game. Help?

Yeah, im having the same problem as well. Im going to try the Riverview pack thats with the other decently seeded torrent on here that has all the Store Packs as well. see if that works.

Don't bother with this torrent. I'm guessing that a patch was made to block out cracked downloadable content, since I also tried the Sims 3 Store pack download, and it didn't work either. Therefore, I think this is pretty much obsolete unless you have an older version.

You really shouldn't waste your time downloading this. It doesn't work.
I did it correctly and it even told me it was installed, but it doesn't show up in my game.

It worked fine for me! I have the reloaded version, and when I start it up it always tells me about how it's not the full and legal version. All I did was simply double click the Riverview file and it downloaded itself, no problems.
SO THIS TORRENT IS FINE!

I think the issue is that this does now work with version 1.19 of the Sims 3 game. People who get it to work are not using the current patch.

I am having a problem. When I click on the pack file it says riverview installed succesfully. But When I start the game Riverview is still in Sim Store and is asking me to download it. Only the required SimPoints has changed to 0.
