All the versions currently here on TPB works both on PC and Mac so you can download either one of them. The Windows crack also works on Mac, I have tested it on my iMac and works flawlessly, just remember not to be connected to the internet while you start and play the game, or set your firewall to block it :)

I have downloaded and extracted the files, but mid installation I get the following error (im new so if this is newb be gentle) :
CRC error: the file c:\\program files\electronic doesn't match the file in the setups .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor.
then i get the options: Ignore, retry and abort. The one one that does anything is abort which obviously cancels the installation.

I'm running the game on my MacBook Pro version 10.5.7. More info: 2GHz Intel Core Duo. 512 MB 667 DDR2 SDRAM.
Problem: The game runs slowly and I'm not sure why. Is it because my Mac doesn't have a video card? I haven't checked if it does or doesn't because I'd assume that if the game publisher says The Sims 3 could work on Macs then it would not need any add-ons, or an installation of a video card.

I'm on OS X, and yes, that one's legal.
If I deny the game access tot he internet with little snitch, it tells me that I have to be connected to the internet and immediately closes.
If I enter the serial I was given it tells me to carefully recopy the one i was given into a box.
Looks like a no-go from here, unless someone has a fix, I don't see it working for me. Be forewarned.

Hmm... The game's great, few problems with installing but got it fixed... But now it just quits without any warning sometimes... I really donno why, it seems random... It happens after I load a household in bout 3 minutes... And if hasn't happened by then it won't happen at all and I can play for hours... Anyone has any clue? I'll check back once in a while

In the readme file, that comes with the game it says that some items may be white in the beginning of the game, but that will disappear after a while, but my sim is black when Im making it, and that doesnt go away :p

To clear some things up.
If this .iso only has one Town. It is the pre-released beta that leaked. If it loads 2 towns, you have the "final" version. (I haven't downloaded this one). I hear the rip by Razor is the full game.
ANY Sims 3 iso download will work for Mac and Windows. The Windows ones have been ALOT faster, with upwards of 800 kb/s. (The final game will also be a dual OS disc).
Sims 3 is better than Sims 2 imo. There are things to get used to, but once you are, it's awesome. My girlfriend enjoys in very much too.
To use the crack (which is a .exe file) on a Mac. Put it in the following folder:
/Applications/The Sims 3?/The Sims Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin
On the second "The Sims 3?" You have to right-click and "Show Contents".
Replace the TS3.exe file that already exists. You may want to rename the original.
The REAL game comes out June 2nd. You may want to download it again.

I've downloaded. Installed using one of the serial provided. Updated my Mac To 10.5.7.
When I start the game I'm asked for a Registration Code. I tried using the serial, but it then says re-enter. Where can I find this Registration Code. Also, does this maybe have something to do with the crack. With the crack provided being a .exe file I couldn't replace "TheSims" program file with anything, because I'm on OSX. I did manage to replace the other .info file. As the instructions said.

Why are you people still downloading this.
Download the Razor version,its more worth it.
Some may say that there's no difference between this and razor, but in the reloaded version,the info.plist in the crack prevents you from going online.That means you can't get those neat downloads(extra town,car) from the patches dowloaded here in TPB.
And those people who can't find their transgaming file on the mac.
Go to Application>The Sims? 3(folder)>right click on The Sims? 3(.app)>show package contents>Contents>Resources(Transgaming is under that folder)

For windows users:
install and replace the TS3.exe file
(no need searching for the info.plist file, it works fine without replacing that one)
For mac users:

I too had the problem of it asking for the serial. I thought that the .exe file can't be replaced on mac & those instructions were for windows, that is WRONG.
There is a .exe file in the Mac contents folder just as he says in the instructions & you just replace that with the .exe file in the crack folder. Then you click on the sims 3 where ever you had installed it & it works!
So just follow the insructions that came with the game. Right click on the sims 3 & click show contents, then a contents folder will appear & in there you can fin dall the folders like /c , program files, bin & finally the .exe file that needs to be replaced.

It's taken me three or four whole days to download this. Now stuck at 90%, maybe my ISP is blocking me because I can't connect to more than 5 peers.
When I get it downloaded I can give better instructions on how to make it play.
In this case the main file is an ISO file. This is a kind of CD image. It will probably mount fine with disc image just like a real CD. Install the game from there.
There's also a crack folder, look in there for more instructions. THere's a file to replace and the game should run.

Please seed, stuck at 89% for two days now.
The ISO should mount like a CD. Go to the Disk Utility program, go to File > Open Image, find the ISO and open it. THen you should get an option to Mount the ISO in Disk Utility. It will now appear in your finder like a CD. Open the CD there should be an installer program. Run the program and install the game.
The installer might ask for a serial, some serials were provided in post about this torrent up top there. ^^^^
Game requires a crack apparently. The crack file was downloaded in a zip file called The Sims? 3 CRACK + Serial Mac.zip. Open the zip and read the instructions to install the crack.
Game might require an updater if you are crashing. It should run on all MacBooks since 2008. Mac sure your Mac Software Update is current. Make sure you have 2GB of RAM.
If none of this works, BUY THE GAME and get a version that works right and has tech support.

Alright whiners.
1. Mount the rld-sim3.iso.
2. Open the disk image and start installing. It will ask you for a serial.
3. Go to the original folder and open "The Sims 3 CRACK folder + serial" (Not the one on the installer image)
4. Open "INSTRUCTIONS + serial" and paste the serial
5. It should install correctly. NOW, you replace the files. Find the application file and show package contents...you should have editing privileges now.

The instructions are not clear at all, I have found the issue though. Took me about 5 installs in where it kept asking for the serial after I start the game.
Use on of the serials IN THE DESCRIPTION ON THIS PAGE FOR INSTALL. Do as you normally would and replace the info.plist
THEN, YES MAC'S DON'T RUN .exe files, but you'll need to replace it too. Navigate to : Sims 3 /Resources/ transgaming / c_drive / Program Files / Electronic Arts / The Sims 3 / Game / Bin THEN DRAG THE TS3.exe file into there to replace it.
Start it up, and you're good to go :)

Duke did u replace the plist file? and park go to the folder where u installed sims [NOT THE ONE ON YOUR DESKTOP!, its usally on the hardrive] then follow cruncha's intructions.

This torrent is real, not a fake/virus at all. I did however have some troubles getting it to work but it was because I did not read. It's actually super easy! It is a slow download (took me about 1.5 days) The computer I have is a MacBook. Once the torrent is downloaded you have to open the zip file that came with it. If you don't see it search for it before you begin the installer. (The Sims? 3 CRACK + Serial Mac.zip) Open the file 'INSTRUCTIONS + Serial' and enter the serial number given into the installer(keep this window open as you will need the instructions later). When you get to the end do the updates, when it says you can't uncheck the box and close the installer window. Now, search for the folder called (The Sims? 3) open it and right click on the the file that reads (The Sims? 3) and select 'Show Package Contents' Another window with the contents should appear. Leave that window alone for a minute and go back to the one you were just working on. If you look back at the instructions, it tells you that you need to switch files with ones supplied when you downloaded the torrent. So, find and open the file named (The.Sims.3-RELOADED) and double click on the folder named 'The Sims? 3 CRACK + Serial 2' in there are the two files that need to be switched. Now all you need to do is follow the instructions and pull the old files out (for safe keeping I didn't delete them until I knew the game worked 100%).
**Don't forget you need to restart your computer!** Then, providing you followed all the steps the game should work perfectly fine and if you haven't already you can delete the old files you removed from your compy :)

So I downloaded it (omg, so fast!) and I tried to follow the instructions. However, the "info.plist" file could not be replaced in the Sims 3 "Contents" folder. The computer just wouldn't allow it. So I went ahead and tried to load The Sims 3. The game then told me "you're using an unofficial version!" and I just clicked the "play" button. The game looked like it was going to load, but nothing happened. Not even any loading sounds from my computer. I restarted my computer, and the same thing happened.

Guys, I've been trying to install just like the instructions say.
I replace the info.plist, the TS3.exe. Then, when I'll play the game, the TS3 window opens, I press that play button
Then the window closes itself and nothing happens.
On the dock it goes like: I press The Sims 3 on my apps folder, one TS3 icon appears. I press the PLAY button on that window, two the sims 3 icons appears and then all of them are gone, by 1 sec.

I followed n_dubs's suggestion but when I click to start the Sims 3 it only shows the Welcome and Game Updates side bars, nothing else(i.e. Downloads, Upload, etc.).

This seems to work - so far as ive only just about to create or choosing my sims.
Go to link, download and use its TS3.exe file (change old one to .bak) and follow the read me file included. The key bit is
6) (The important extra step) In the The Sims? 3: Content (The first folder when you "show package contents") there is a file called "Info.plist." Open this file in TextEdit.
-- Find this line:
c:\Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/S3Launcher.exe
-- And replace with:
c:\Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/TS3.exe
Hope this helps someone. I left this game sitting on my mac for 2-3 months because i couldnt find anything to get it to work.
I hope now after rushing to write this i dont go back and find it crashes after creating my sims!! Although i couldnt get to creating before just got message saying no cd....

FINALY!! I did it!
After attempting to install the game for over 5 hours, I did it.
Here's What I did (ON MAC):
1- Extract the files from "The Simsâ„¢ 3 CRACK + Serial Mac.zip"
2- Mount "rld-sim3.iso"
3- Run "The Sims 3 Installer"
4- Open the "The Simsâ„¢ 3 CRACK + Serial" Folder
4.1- Open "INSTRUCTIONS + Serial"
4.2- Use the keygen found in that file (FL2J-TFWL-5V6E-V5VZ-VRLD)
5- Follow the instructions and install.
5.1- Restart the machine if you think it's necessary.
6- Open "The Simsâ„¢ 3 CRACK + Serial Mac" Folder. You will find 2 important files: "TS3.exe" and "info.plist"
7- Open "The Sims 3" folder in your applications folder.
8- Right Click "The Simsâ„¢ 3". Select "Show Package Contents".
8.1- Open "Contents"
8.2- Make a back-up of the original "info.plist"
9- Drag and Drop "info.plist" onto this folder. Choose replace if it is required.
10-On the same folder, open "Resources"
10.1- Open "transgaming." folder
10.2- Open "c_drive." folder
10.3- Open "Program Files." folder
10.4- Open "Electronic Arts." folder
10.5- Open "The Sims 3." folder
10.6- Open "Game." folder
10.7- Open "Bin." folder
11- Change the name of the original "TS3.exe" to "TS3.bak"
12- Drag and Drop the "TS3.exe found in the "The Simsâ„¢ 3 CRACK + Serial Mac" folder into the "Bin" folder.
13- Restart your machine.
14- Open "The Sims 3" folder in your applications folder and run "The Simsâ„¢ 3"
15- Play!
It should work for you now, otherwise try uninstalling and trying again.

Everything downloaded okay, but I'm having the same problem as a few other folks on here...when I click the Sims 3 icon to start the game, the launcher pops up and then when I click the play button, the icon bounces for a second or two and then it closes out.
The launcher always says I'm offline, as well...not sure if there might be some connection between that.

Please make sure when you insert the ts3.exe fie into the bin folder it is the >Bin>bin folder
i put the ts3.exe into the one with the uppercase B (as instructed) and it made my game crash, the "bobbing icon before the crash" crash.

I have no knowledge of macs at all, and I managed to get this up and running in 10 minutes on my girlfriends mac.
Just follow jmsanchez's instructions on page 16, but you need to follow them exactly.
Also mac users, remember you don't need daemon tools or anything like that, you should just be able to mount most files by double clicking.

OK, IF YOU GUYS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS DOWNLOAD (The Sims 3 icon bouncing on the dock after loading it/pressing the play button and then disappearing) THEN SCREW THIS TORRENT AND DOWNLOAD THE ONE AT TORRENTHOUND:
It'll take about 12 hours to download but it's worth it and it works. AFTER it's done downloading, FOLLOW THESE STEPS (THIS IS ONLY FOR MACS)!!!
1) Install the game

@bml55555, indeed I have... However, everytime I try to install Generations, it updates the base game (The Sims 3) and repairs permission during the installation process...therefore, breaking the crack and preventing me to play.
the one I downloaded was from fileserve > com > /file/bAs5Pj4 and I used the serial L9X7-289U-KGSC-4KG2-JRLD
It's weird because I followed the EXACT same steps for Ambitions and Latenight...but for some reason, this ISO file for Generations automatically updates the base game without asking you if you want it to update. So for the past 5 days or so, I've been searching for a good torrent for TS3 Generations that DOESN'T automatically do the update when you're installing...no luck so far :( I've even asked questions on forums and left comments on other torrent sites - still no response from anyone.
But if any of you guys find a good torrent for The Sims 3 Generations please let me and the rest of us know!!! I would greatly appreciate it!!!

If you're going to try and download The Sims 3 Generations from the link I just gave you, be sure to backup your saved files before you install Generations!!! The ISO file /will/ automatically update the game, break the crack, and make everything un-playable...
What you do is:
Finder > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Saves > Copy and Paste EVERYTHING in this folder onto your desktop (or onto an empty folder)
IMPORTANT: After installing Generations, you WILL have to UNINSTALL THE WHOLE GAME (TS3, TS3 world adventures, TS3 ambitions, and TS3 Latenight) IN ORDER TO PLAY THE SIMS 3 AGAIN ON YOUR MAC (/without/ Generations of course which keeps breaking the crack)

I followed your instruction with how to install TS3 from that other site and it worked perfect.. then I did what you said with late night and while installing it gave me a warning that the TS3 version installed is more recent than expected and that late night could be incompatible. The crack doesn't get put in the generations folder it goes in the main TS3 folder.

@graywolly, you must have updated it...Try re-installing The Sims 3, and The Sims 3 Latenight. Remember, you ONLY update/use the patch that was GIVEN to you for the base game (The Sims 3) after your downloading completed. You DON'T update the game for ANY of the expansion packs!!!

@songbird, you can use custom content. .package files won't work though. Haven't figured out why yet. You can install .sims3pack files but not the usual way. You have to place them in the downloads folder and then go to the TS3 launcher to install.
Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads (All .sims3pack files go in here)

And guys, it's not difficult. Read the directions carefully, stop trying to go so fast. Once my torrent finished, took about 7 hours, I opened installer, placed serial code, installed. Pasted the crack files as said in the 'Bin' (Mac), and the game was ready. Did the Generations placing in 'Bin', it was ready. Also got the nude patch, ha.

Due to incompatibility issues after installing expansions, when I used slourges way, I tried few things and found out an easier way.

3. Load the game and UPDATE the game to current version which is 1.22.9.
4. After the update, quit the launcher if needed.
5. Then go to 'Applications' > The Sims 3 > Right Click on 'The Sims 3' app > 'Show Package Contents'
6. go to > Contents > Resources > transgaming > c_drive > Program Files >Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 >Game >Bin
7. Drag/Copy&Paste the "TS3w.exe" and "TSLHost.dll" to the 'Bin' folder
8. Replace the files.
9. Play the game.
*By using this way, you are playing an updated version and will not be asked to update. (If new update comes out, don't update it)
@For those who wants the install expansions:
1. Install whatever version of 'Expansion' you have.
2. You don't need to do anything else to it, if you had followed my directions above.
3. Play by loading the game from "The Sims 3"
Since the game requires just 1 CD from any expansion or the base, you don't need to crack all of the expansions, just use the base game to play.
I have currently installed Ambitions, Late Night, Generations and for me it seems to be working fine. I'll try other expansions later on, maybe.
You might have problems with "World Adventures", not sure about it.
If there is any problems or question, ask.

I just recently bought a 2011 13 inch Macbook Pro. It has an Intel i5 2.3 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM, and an Intel HD Graphics 3000. I tried to play the Sims 3 on it and the game froze after I finish creating my Sim, forcing me to restart my computer. Then I found out that the game saved my Sim before it crashed so I tried to move my Sim into a house. After my Sim moved into the house, a tutorial screen came up and soon after that the game froze again. Is anybody else having these problems? Can anyone please help me?

Hey guys, I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to get this to work again. I said again because I got it to work once already, but when I was uninstalled it and wanted to reinstall it...it doesnt work anymore.

Extremely long loading time. I had to reinstall it after my first attempt saying the serial numbers provided above had already exceeded their limited license. You might have to do what I did and look elsewhere for them. Also make sure you block any attempts for it to connect to the internet.

Simple instructions for Mac users (once you've installed the game):
Notes: You need to replace both the info.plist file and the TS3.exe (yes even if you're on a Mac).
1) Unzip the files from the Sims 3 torrent you just downloaded labelled The Simsâ„¢ 3 CRACK + Serial Mac.zip. Inside you will find the cracked info.plist and TS3.exe files you will need to replace in the game subfolders.
2) Find The Sims folder in Applications (or your install destination).
3) Inside the game folder you'll see The Simsâ„¢ 3 that has an icon of the green diamond. Right click it and select Show Package Contents. This will open all the sub folders.
4) Open the contents folder and immediately you will see the info.plist file that needs to be replaced. Do it.
5) You're not done. Again, even though you're on a Mac you still need to replace the TS3.exe file with the one supplied in that crack zip.
6) The TS3.exe file is buried deep. Inside the Sims contents folder you will also see various other folders. Here's the path: Resources -> transgaming -> c_drive -> Program Files -> Electronic Arts -> The Sims 3 -> Game -> Bin.
7) You should finally be in the folder that has the TS3.exe file. Replace that one with the one provided in that cracked zip.

THIS IS FOR MAC OS X USERS!!!!!!
After you install the game and unzip it, find where ever you INSTALLED Sims 3.
Once you find it open the folder, after that you should see the sims green diamond icon.
1. Right mouse click on sims 3.
2. Go to show package contents.
3. Open contents folder.
4. Drag Info.plist file (the one out of the Crack + Serial file/ which came out of the zipped file) place it in the folder. If done right a box should appear click REPLACE.
5. Then open the resources folder.
6. Open transgaming.
7. Open c_drive.
8. Open Program Files.
9. Open Electronic Arts.
10. Open The Sims 3.
11. Open Game.
12. Open Bin.
13. Drag theTS3.exe file into the folder. (in same folder in step 4) if done right a box should appear (like in step 4) click REPLACE.

Hi there, I managed to install it yesterday and it was working perfect - there was no problem while playing or anything.
And then I downloaded The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff Pack

and installed it. I follow the instructions but it kinda screwed up everything.
Now every time I try loading the game, the two SIMS 3 icon would just bounce on the dock and it won't launch.
Have been uninstalling and re-installing over 10 times, removing all the SIMS 3 files, and tried the solutions provided in the 583 comments here but the problem still exists.

Lion 10.7.2 has graphics issues not only with this game. If you want to downgrade to 10.7.0, do the following: Restart your Mac while you hold Command + R. A screen should show up, and there you will have the option to reinstall Lion (10.7.0). You won't lose any files. Good luck ^^

Im using a Macbook Pro and after downloading the whole game, I just opened the Sims 3 program and used one of the Serial Numbers given above. Once I open the program again it comes up with a Sims 3 diamond, waits a couple of minutes and asks for serial number again, it already has it filled in, i press ok and it just does back to the big Sims 3 diamond picture again. whats happening?

not worth it, imo. last two speed buttons don't work; you have to wait around forever if your sim is doing long tasks like sleeping/going to work. then my fridge had some bad food in it, and whenever i (or the maid) tried to clean it out, the game would freeze my entire computer. don't download this.

I installed it,clicked to play and opens a new sims window with blue background and a big sim green sign and it is stucked like that. I can't close it.i don't know why. Also is asks for the serial number and i put the same i put in the beggining but nothing happens. Then is asks for it again and again......Help?I have version 10.5.8
