ive not used bootcamp before as i dont own a mac

The disc wont boot up for installation. I have the settings for the cdrom to boot first in the bios. Also my cd burner cd xpburner will only burn from the speed six i cant have any lower speed. I don't know if this has something to do with it not booting up. Also do you burn it as a iso or data. Thanks.

if you was to use imgburn which is freeware..
write image file to disk ..

always check and try and lower cd writing speed i use x4 myself

I have your August 2011 iso of this student edition. It instals just fine; except wifi shut off and locked off; all drivers locked, can't backup or update with any driver software to fix being locked offline. Also, odd effect, any time use any function, cursor is forcibly shifted to the CANCEL button, nice if you like to restart what you're doing all the time! Also, never saw Windows XP have problems with copy-paste. This thing is dangerous (your August 2011 edition) -- it often ONLY makes empty file folders and doesn't copy or move actual contents; it often dumps MORE files into an existing folder instead of REPLACING folder and all its contents. You could LOSE or screw up a lot of work this way. Also, always STICKING on Send To (Mouse Menu) and Explorer bar; and ALWAYS glitch of cannot delete, rename or move a folder (in use by "other program") unless you REBOOT every 15 minutes to kill it. I installed August 2011 edition twice, same problems both times. Iin contrast, I installed another Win Xp (performance edition) in my SAME machine, and as soon as it reaches point of "networking"instal, the external Motorola wifi card lights up, showing wifi is installed and it works. But, your August 2011 edition, the wifi card never lights up in 2 instals; and then, once all is installed, we find NO ability from your resulting CD to actually REPAIR any of the installation, almost all is grayed out; and in particular the only things not grayed out are the Networking, which if you try to use it, doesn't work. So, you are stuck with a DEAD laptop that does NOT go online, drivers can't be fixed; if you try to back up the drivers with ANY software, you get a series of EMPTY file folders, no drivers inside. If you try to update a driver, LOCKED and no way! So, what gives? This is next to USELESS, apparently.
Can you give us the MAGIC FORMULA to restore wifi and update drivers, or shall we spend another 5 hours replacing the whole installation? Thanxs.
