Yesterday, the encoder pinchy fucked up - today, I forgot to seed. Doh!
Everyone give pinchy props as tomorrow will be his last day upping. Most of the O&A stuff here is his, though I'll on occasion rip+encode or get another source. Editing the commercials takes longer than you think and that fact that edited sources hit the newsgroups 15 minutes after it airs is insane. They obviously record in chunks and edit them during the show, then quickly piece it all together.
There will be other sources, hopefully they'll stay CF64k - though I'm not sure why they're always mono. The previous long-term source (whose name eludes me) was doing CF64k stereo - which I think sounds better. Speech itself may be a hair better having more data on a mono encode (which may be why) but music sounds much better. Some of my older encodes were stereo but I've been doing them mono to match the rest as of late.
