V- 6, VHS quality, but then I haven't seen it in any other form anyway, maybe it was filmed like that.

The movie was film with super 8 mm home camera for a grainy retro look. Guy Maddin use black and white film for most of the movie, but had some limited color film spliced in for dramatic effect.
