It takes more than amateur dramatics and some creative cutting and pasting to divert attention from the fact that the Russians set up and prepared for this conflicts months in advance. Finally some truth about this war to counteract Georgian / US propaganda that has been flooding the English-speaking media. Considering the Georgians seem to be changing their song about this war every week (this week Saakashvili finally admitted they did start the war, but of course tried to put a spin no it) nobody takes them seriously any more.

I'm glad that people see this documentary! Some nuanced thinking is always good. The Russian side has received unproportionate amounts of criticism while the generally accepted wrongdoings by the Georgians have been forgotten somehow. I mean, Saakashvili planned and executed the attack, he deliberately misled the Ossetian public prior to the attack and spread false information and outright lies several times in both Georgian and international media and so on. Georgia also used unproportionate violence against Ossetian civilians.
None of this is secret, most people acknowledge these facts. Yet somehow through an Orwell:esque episode of double thinking ? la 1984, they simply disregard the meaning of this and proceed to support a completely contradictory viewpoint.
So what is the criticism against Russia?
Russia had plans for military action in South Ossetia, are you surprised? Caucasus is a problematic region with ongoing small scale conflicts everywhere. Tension between Georgia and Russia, particularly focused on the Ossetian and Abchazian region, had been building up over many years. A military conflict was a plausible scenario, so accprdingly precautions were obviously made.
Jesus christ people. You must realize that while Russia has many problems and foreign policy issues, they are not always the big bad wolf they are portrayed as in western media. The cause of this single sided, ignorant viewpoint is open to debate but it is there alright.
