Trama: ------ Dopo la rapina ad una gioielleria, il gangster Nick Bianco, viene arrestato. Il procuratore distrettuale De Angelo cerca di spingerlo a rivelare i nomi degli altri componenti della banda, facendo leva sull'amore che il gangster prova per sua moglie e le sue due figlie. Nick però non cede perché spera che il suo capo mantenga la promessa e si prenda cura della sua famiglia nel periodo in cui sarà in prigione. Dopo alcuni anni, mentre Nick sta ancora scontando la pena che gli è stata inflitta, viene a sapere che sua moglie, abbandonata da tutti i loro vecchi amici si è uccisa e le sue figlie sono state mandate in un orfanotrofio. Allora si decide a confessare e a fare i nomi degli altri componenti della banda, mantenendo l'anonimato per non subire rappresaglie.
