I'm a semi-pro hacker and I've had a hard time choosing a good After Effects torrent, all torrents I see now on 30 december 2009 are either most likely or for sure infected with virusses.
Now you have to consider the following question: why do hackers hack me?
the answer on this is :
1)to steal credit card, serial key and other info
2)to spread a virus trough your pc
3)to use your pc as a private proxy, this means operate at times trough your pc to not to get caught by the police or similar reasons
4)to delete your files or mess up your pc, these viruses are mostly made by companies trying to protect their software
Now kingaviks states that this torrent would be infected with the virut virus.
IMPORTANT it could be hard for people to understand but anti-viruses won't protect you in most cases, anti-viruses only repel known, old and outdated viruses. I scanned the file in this torrent with AVG and Spybot, they both detected no virus yet I'm pretty sure there is one in there and kingaviks' anti-virus f-secure did detect it.
Also may i add that the one who shared this torrent could be infected easily with this virus and could be a good person actually just sharing a piece of software he believes is clean.
Now after giving it some thought i chose this torrent, it might be infected but atleast we know what's in it. Ofc there could be some unknown viruses in there as well.
So what I advice to do is to run this program which btw seems to work well though it does make 1 little insignificant error at startup BUT DO THIS USING NSANDBOXIE TO PROTECT YOUR PC, now sandboxie is a program that kinda creates a virtual barrier between the program and the rest of the pc. This way the virus will be active but not harmful and probably won't infect anything. If it would in some way succeed in infecting, this chance is small as sandboxie is really effective, then this is still only a virus build for reason 1 and 2 (maybe 3 too).
You can find sandboxie at it's a basically free though you can get some benefits for buying something, but that's unimportant.

Damn i couldn't import the Action Essentials in this one, it doesn't support .mov format so I eventually went for the which seems to work even better, there are no comments complaining about viruses and my suspicion about the size of the download is gone but I'd still use sandboxie to be sure ;)
